Who are you going to elect to be a member of the oversight committee?
I elect Dark Shikari,
Why? Because he seems to be non biased and is into most aspects of EVE.
And most people seem to respect his opinion.
P.S. I hope this does not mess up his chances? Me being such a geek myself on the boards

Preferably one person from each of the top 4 0.0 alliances and then three others from medium size 0.0 alliances, and then 1 from a large/medium low sec based pirate type alliance.

how about we DONT elect ONLY people from 0.0. I would say, get outside people who don't play eve but know MMO's. Train em for a week on the game, and let em decide.
I wonder how many BoB members will get seats..... This is not trollin, I was wondering that it's perhaps time for an EVE news item on the site itself detailing this process.
0.0 alliance leaders? sounds a little like conflict of interest, since all allegations over the past timeframe involve 0.0 high level alliance members.

Interesting but no, that doesn't represent the population of eve, although if using a raw vote on candidates it may well turn out to hold only those from the largest alliances.
If the goal is trancparency then just like a proxy vote the candidates should be listed with thier relavant skills and all thier alts and in-game intrests. Obviouslly there will be NDA's and such, the people probablly should also have a passing familairty with Programming, politics, and of course the gaem play.

A idea maybe to look at player who are discussed with what has happened and dont play there accounts very often because of the ongoing issues.
I for one only now play eve to keep my char training and sell a few bits ect but apart from that with all the fiacos going on i realy dont enjoy playing the game because of the unfair advantages being reported.
The player who have quit or hibernated there accounts do know eve and the play styles for example i have spent most of my playing life in 0.0 but also in empire, I have seen forst hand how these issues have destroyed a game i have loved and played for well over 2 years.
I would love to come back to playing eve more but until I myself believe that it is a just and fair playing feild for everyone i will continue to read forums and train my char but thats about all.

This committee needs to come from the player base, not the forums. No well known forum ***** should be elected, nor anyone from those two alliances or anyone allied to them.
I say this election should be done IN GAME not the forums.
Matter of fact most of the committee should come from NON Alliance corporations. They should be from every walk of life of Eve, and be known IN GAME.

Whatever Goon leader is capable of rational discourse for longer than 5 minutes at a stretch, so the Goons can't cry foul.
Me, for the reasons stated in the original thread. Played @ launch and recently, small independent corp, experience in a half-dozen MMOs, well-spoken and tough to bluff, and cannot be bribed with strippers and beer.

I hate to point this out...But when you say Dark shikari in local the responce is "Who?" Same with chib..."Oh you mean the guy with the dread in empire"....Forum *****s should'nt be used just for that reason....they are known in forums but not in game.
Maybe CCP should come up with a list, and submit for the players approval?
As for anyone from BoB or Goonswarm....they have blown their reputations already....nobody could really trust them.
