(Good corp. name btw) If they pick a bunch of fans with 0 Computer Security background who will be along for the ride to Reykjavik then it could make things worse. I do computer systems/DB auditing for a living (No I don't want the job thank you). If the elect someone with no experience to do a 1 or 2 day interview a year? Good luck with that, all you'll come out with is the company line, all nice and glossy. As far as I'm concerned this whole committee thing is a bad idea. CCP are doing a good job of policing themselves. They have been more open than most MMO's. They just have a bad communication policy.

It carries more weight for me to have "John Doe" put his/her personal integrity on the line rather than someone named "(insert Eve Character Name here)." This isn't to say forum posters and 0.0 alliances don't have such people, I am just reluctant to become an advocate only those people should be considered. Regards CJ I picked up un your post too :) And from what you said I would think it would be a good idea for there to be some debates on the forums, so we can get to know people who want to be on the "9". Yes the good posters will have an advantage but I'm sure it will be good to know what some one thinks before voting for them. And the people who no one know can can get to be known in the debates. All I can do now is nominate (to propose (someone) for appointment or election to an office. ) people I know and that is in the forum or in the game, in the game I only know so many people, and did not meat any who wants to do it yet.
