At least someone is working on it. That or the server is set to just automatically restart until someone kills it off with a 12 gauge!
Maybe they have a poorly trained, poorly paid guy sitting in a room watching a screen that flashes "Online" and when it says "Error", he is trained to click "Restart". I bet he's sweating now! WHAT'S THE MATTER? RESTART BUTTON ISN'T WORKING, IS IT?! HUH?!
OMG! I'm going crazy! I need to change my skill!

hey at least those 17228 players that kept showing up as online got booted too dammit.
Does anyone else get the feeling they haven't changed the stability so much as changed the way the INstability shows up?
Like it used to be that the forums DIED when the server died, now they just lag.
And I seriously doubt 17228 players stayed online for the 20 minutes before the server finally rebooted the [i]first[i] time/

Hmmm... ok now it authenticates ok, I get to the character selection screen, click my main, and get stuck at "Entering game as Ibo Tpmp" or whatever. It's been a minute or two now... Oh wait, it just finally finished and my ship is ok. Yay!

I just want to thank the entire Eve community for trusting in me and letting me check it out first. I think it was key in the smooth restart of the server. I am truly touched. lol Now that my skills are rolling, time for bed here on the east coast of the US. Have fun and good luck. Might want to set a longer skill just in case!

I cant get in as well, it also says that there are 0 players playing. So problem is not fixed. :'(
Thankfully Im training a skill that takes a few days to finish. :)

Hmm... my alt is up and running just fine. I'd say the mad rush to log in has clogged her up once more! My main just made it in, too!

I'm playing right now, but holy crap is it laggy. At least I got my ship to a base now, so if the server goes down again I don't have to sweat bullets like I was before (it crashed when I was in the open as a sitting duck).

Another update: I am in the game and it is responding to me (good thing, I have a skill completing in 5min) but I'm flying somewhere on autopilot and when I got to the warp gate I got this message:
2007.07.18 07:07:16 Notify [system name deleted] Traffic Control is currently offline and unable to process your jump request. Please try again in a moment.
So not all is well with the world, even for those of us who are logged in.

SOMEHOW, my drones and drop cans are still here... strange, given the cans should've popped over an hour ago, and more so since they all appeared from NOWHERE.

I think you'll find that that the whole EVE universe isn't loaded in one go after a reboot but areas are loaded as and when required, hence the message. Far more efficient that way, no point loading stuff that isn't needed at the time.
I get them all the time when I'm on the test server.
