Same here : stuck at "Authenticating".
I get this message : Connection Timeout - The server did not respond to the client's secure-handshake request within a reasonable amount of time.

All i can say is I beter have my drake intact and no scratches on it. I was in a middle of fighting 3 BS spawns before the client booted me out. Now i'm also back at authenticating....

Those 17k that are 'still playing' are probably staring at their ships bouncing back and forth between warp points, or watching as their guns/missiles are not firing and the rats are just sitting there eating their drones/ship... eventually they will get "connection to server lost" just like we all have and come in here and whine, just like we have.
Reboot in... I would wager 45 minutes? Then another reboot 1 hour after that... and one final one 2 hours after that.
