I cannot confirm that, works for me (I know, you don't want to hear that ;) with wine (wine-0.9.33, as I remember without a patch). Did not undock.
Really?! 0.9.33 is a few versions old now, did you have to do anything special to get that version working with eve and are there any major glitches in it?

I re-installed eve and this did not fix it, so it is a problem at ccps end.

Ummm I just get a Status unknown for Tranquility so I guess you are still having issues. Any indication on a time frame for fix would be good

I just downloaded the full client and did a re-install, and still getting same problem, of getting Status: Unknown.
On a slight side note, got very good speeds downloading off the eve-online site, about 0.5 Meg a second, did the 600 odd meg file in 20 mins or so, one of the fastest i have ever seen for my ISP, so was very impressed.

I don't want to brake the trend of the thread or anything but for me this patch worked great. I didn't notice any significant performance improvements, but I got my chat channels back I had lost them with revelations II deployment. Thanks.
P.S. The previous concern my EVE installation under Linux with wine

I have had two 'crash to desktops' since the patch, never, ever had this before. On both occasions I was using the market window.
In other news, things seem to be faster, especially the market. GG ccp :)

nvm, I let it hang for 10 minutes, then posted and just as I hit the post button it finally logged

So far no problems with the patch, except for the portraits. Seems like session change is faster now.

Everything seems to be fine and responding wonderfully. I checked the market and did a few miscellaneous things and didn't have any problems. I don't undock on the computer I'm typing this from, but all station services seem to be OK for me.

When I installed wine to get eve working, i followed the instructions on http://elfe.mine.nu/eve/linux/. I have not updated wine, because it works (never change a running system). As I have seen, there is a patch for 0.9.40.
This is a crappy notebook (ubuntu) and I use it to switch skills at work. I cant tell you anything about gameplay.

Info window keep position checkbox (the effect of it being checked) is not working anymore!
The error was introduced in the first rev II patch.
I have posted 2 bug reports on the subject and they both were dismissed:
Quote: Thank you for your bugreport - ID:41309 Title: Info windows not keeping position. The problem you have described as an intended game feature, and not a bug. Your bugreport has been closed.
And apart from being bad English, i really don't understand how the removal of a feature without removing the switch (checkbox), can be an intended feature??
Please check the bug report id 41309 for a full explanation.
Also now when i log in all of the portraits are gone. I have to click all chars i want to see portrait for anew :(

well bang up job on the latest patch there are posts all over the issues form about post patch problems but not a single word on anything being done to address these issues or even if CCP has acknowledged these problems that some of their paycheck providers are having.

Edited by: Furia Taurina on 24/07/2007 15:22:14 No not my firewall, i saw someone else mention that it could be a firewall problem, so i went to turn my firewall off, only to find it not running. I then realised that it was installed on my 2nd HDD which failed the other day and is currently waiting to be replaced. So good thing i checked, so i've re-installed it now.
Interesting XP thing, is that XP still thinks a firewall is active on my PC, even though it clearly wasnt there.

How about the client deleting all the cached portraits upon every client restart?

since Revelations 2.1 and Python 2.5, In-Game-Browser sends "Python-urllib/2.5" as User-Agent instead of "EVE-minibrowser".
this has caused a problem with our ingame page. will you be changing it back or do we have to update our website?

This is not intended, and will be reverted back to sending the EVE-minibrowser user-agent info.
