I don't know if this is local to me, and I wasn't running logserver thingy, but will be watching it to see if it happens again and running it now.
I got some major, and I mean MAJOR memory creepage which slowed down my machine no end, eve taking up the best part of 2 gig, when I decided to close the client. Which took an age (understandably) so I went afk for a while and left task manager running while I did.
On my return about 10 mins later, the game had closed but ExeFile.exe was taking up 2.8 gig of ram and virtual memory (and increasing). This this point I force ended the process because it was just getting silly.
will report further if it occurs again.

Good Job on the patch.
To several people here:
i have - Not crashed once since patch - not lost my overview settings - noticed a increase in speed moving between systems. - noticed less lag in jita - in short no problems here at all.
i was in a plex today with 3 accounts active on one PC, lots of Pewpew and explosions.
-> good work CCP.

Funny thing is, I bug reported the cloak bug on sisi a few days ago and all I got was "The problem you have described as[sic] an intended game feature, and not a bug." :-/

I patched my client and it starts then after 10sek the start-window disappears but the client is still in memory doing nothing anymore.
I cleaned the cache before patching... So no playing for me at all... Have a log and sending it in with bug-report

One question, you have test your patch ?
You have see the number of problems some hours after the patch ??? It's not good when you have test this patch on a test server !
And somes problems was already on the test server.
I have the problem with portrait on the both server Sisi and now TQ.

Will it include a fix for the constant crashing?

Hope so. TBH a fix for the constant settings loss is more important, it only crashes as much as it used to disconnect (2-3 times/day)
EDIT: I can't spell today

It may only crash for you 2-3 times/day, however it has crashed for me 8 times so far today. FYI, it only crashed a couple times in the last few months for me before today. It even just crashed when all I was doing was moving some cruise missiles from a giant container to the hangar at Irjunen II, CPF.

im getting a massive memory leak just travelling around.
I start teh client and i have 190,000 k usage - as i approach a gate it jumps by about 10,000k - went to jita to the 4-4 station and my mem usage jumped from 320,000k to 350,000k when the overview loaded all the ships outside the station.
It does appear to jump whenever the overview registers anything.
Dont know if this will help but thats the issue im experiencing atm - mem usage doesnt seem to want to go down so ill prolly have to relog very often.

Edited by: Evelgrivion on 24/07/2007 19:55:16 I haven't encountered any of the mentioned issues yet (however, I have also not undocked). But who cares? I've gotten an extra 10 to 20 FPS
EDIT: Call it a hunch, but after reading the replies in this thread, it sounds like the memory leak is in the overview itself. I hope that gets cleaned up fast, since fleet battles won't really be fixed at all until that is This isn't the signature you're looking for. Can you tell me where to find the one I am looking for? -Kaemonn |

The 'minor' memory leak is increasing by 20mb per jump.
My client is using 700mb atm.

just some more info - figured out i dont even need to move to increase the mem usage.
Just go sit by a busy gate and watch it increase steadily as new ships come onto your overview.
I restarted my client and within 5 minutes i was upto 350 usage

I am receiving rewards tho so I can prove that missions are being done.

I have the portait issue and I also see my client using more memory. Memory usage increases by anywhere between 12 and 50 k per second. Good thing I have plenty of RAM. :P
No other issues or crashes though (yet). . Rimhawk Vengeance 8 Interceptors

Try deleting the entire cache folder post patch - restart the client - delete the settings and prefs.ini from the cache after this restart - replace the settings folder and prefs.ini file in the cache with the back up versions - restart the client.
Should then keep your old overview and UI settings etc. |

Setting your Virtual mem to highcan be very bad for some computers, especially those with very slow hard drives.

Just a FYI
Obviously you are aware of the portraits, one thing i am noticing is major disk access on my PC never happend before clearly the client is using the disk swapping a lot more than it did this is on a windows xp system SATA disk with 2Gb of RAM all patches applied.

Same here. No real problems that I have noticed, athough there is a bit of stutter when warping into 'roid belts and it would be nice if the mining upgrades worked.
Oh and the nicey smooth transition into warp is a bit lame. What's happened to all the shuddering???
