probably the least profitable way of making isk, especially if you dont know the ropes, but for sure the least grinding way.
rifter + mods around 500k one looted strip miner how much?
right.
So a brand new player with a whole 3000 isk can just buy a 400k frig, insurance and fittings, skills to fly it and use said fittings?
Some type of grinding is required.
now youre bein freaky stubborn, and you should know it.
if you join the game as a young pilot, you should be doing the tutorial, else you will just be getting on everybodies nerves more than necessary.
if you complete the tut these days, (which wasnt even grinding for me, as i redid them to have a look) you have enough resources to get you started.
on top of that, if you shoot ONE friggin lowsec rat in a breacher (you get from the tut) you prolly have enuff to finance a rifter plus fittings too.
if that is grinding to you already... well.. im not sure if you should play mmorpgs.

i think the first line of your post says it all, you obviously enjoy a game where doing quests for reaching a pointless lvl cap is your thing, rather than actually playing a game which has meaning, try talking to some people and pvping...
i played WoW for a week then cancelled subscription and through the box in the bin

In EVE you fly around in empty space.
no you dont, you autopilot to one of 6 preset destinations. no scenerey, no stop off's you are at one place and you arrive at another some time later. you are all focusing on some other negative aspect of my post when all i really want is freedom to travel where ever i want in EvE.
and to the poster above me, atleast my "negative crap" was centered around a game and a way it could be improved (in my opinion) and not some hatred towards another person
ok, Have you ever double clicked in space or gone anywhere not on auto pilot ?

in a sense yes but if you read what i wrote you would understand i would like more places to go not just scenery, why instead of right click > warp to moon 6 cant i check my map make sure im heading the right direction and just fly to the moon and maybe on my map i could see other players in the vicinity and chase them down?

no one needs to grind EVER if they dont want to and you can still make BILLIONS of ISK. use your loaf.

yes, and what was there? nothing. it takes forever and noone is there because the only places to go are jumpgate>pos>station>moon>asteroid belt trying to fly to anyone of these at 160ms is dumb considereing anyone i might want to fight effectively instantly travels from one to the other.

iirc you havent posted any useful ideas on how to improve eve, but if you do, and its good, it will be prolly happily accepted (might want to post with another char in another thread tho )

Eve mimics real life - not the magical kingdom where you re-spawn with your sword still in your hand. Stuff gets shot and stuff breaks - its harsh compared to other games but then isn't life harsh? -------------------------------------------- The most common phrase on the Eve-O forum of late is: "Oh the irony". It is usually being used to describe hypocrisy which is in itself, ironic.

perhaps you should learn to read, i stated in the very first post how i thought eve is too slow paced and that i disliked the autopilot from point a>b some people even agreed with me.

If you've got an opinion on how you think the game could be improved, go and post in the ideas and development forum. And don't post in the form of a 'whine' ...
"I just did this and it sucked and you suck and the game sucks and I have no idea how to do anything without AP on and this new Chinese recipe I just found sucks'
You're not original to post a whine about how you don't like the game in General discussion and you won't be the last person to think that they are by doing so. Like I said, shutup. _____________________________ Eldo spanked my sig but I can't be bothered changing it just now. |

Perhaps you should learn to comprehend what you are writing? Crying about the speed of the game is not a suggestion of how to improve it now is it ?

if i had freedom of movement in eve it would make it so much better (this was in my original post, if you care to read and interpret it you would understand what i was saying even if it was in a long winded post i was merely pointing that i think freedom of movement instead of autopilot would be better)
i.e if i could fly from the station to the stargate of my own accord moving anywhere i want and perhaps encounter other players at locations other than jumpgate>moon>pos>asteroid belt> etc.

Good god that would be boring. That would be like trying to find someone who is safespotted but without using probes. You would never see another soul!

we have this astonishing invention called "scan probes"
on another note: maybe you will like eve more when we get to walk around in stations?

There is complete freedom of movement in EVE. If you wish to fly from a station to a gate, be my guest.
And yes, putting in stargates and general areas of congregation is just wrong. How dare they do what we do in real life by making areas that are important or have some sort of significance. Such foolishness. _____________________________ Eldo spanked my sig but I can't be bothered changing it just now. |

Sorry to hear that you don't like the game although missions are purely to get money for PvP. Although EvE always is somewhat slow and hard to get in to.
I tried WoW before I got my full EvE account however I hated the game but love EvE so I guess each to their own, no one can really say either game is bad. WoW has a stupid amount of members while EvE has a fiercely loyal player base so the 2 games must be doing something right. ------------
I'm a guy with a female character get over it, and for god's sake stop jerking off. It's creepy. |

i got upto lvl 40 in WoW i think (never stopped with eve in that time)
and it was fine for a while, getting cool stuff, and i must admit i used to have a good laugh, /dance with someone, they would /dance back, then id /fart still makes me chuckle.
But with WoW npc is the game, and u go against other players with no loss, no gain, no loot!! and the NPC were annoying and the quests long and annoying.
So Eve was back in the front seat again, then WoW got its sub cut and still think it was 100% the right call.
my very roundabout point is, i did not post on the WoW forums saying it was a huge grind, dull etc etc why do it here to a forum of people that obviously DO find it fun? seems stupid to me tbh!

There are infact 8 if you're gonna take things THAT literal, you missed out deepspace and the Star's.

yes there is complete freedom of movement except you never meet anybody inbetween the places of congregation eve is massive, except you never visit most of it, you just warp from one end to the other leaving 99% of it unseen, like my orignal analogy of comparing it to the windriders/gryphon in wow it would be like all wow pvp occuring at the windrider/gryphon or boats.

i never said it was a huge grind, i only said the method of travel was dull and that it could be more fun.
