*sigh* it wouldn't be eve-online without the server taking a dump every 2 - 5 days, I guess the only thing to lookforward to today is bioshock unlocking itself on my steam account in 6 hours, Booya!

- nodes got stuck and died causing server fail
- something happened (we just dont know what exactly)
- we have a breaktrough! server will be back at 15:50 err no maybe 16:00 or maybe make that 16:30 hmm no never mind it will be back tomorrow after 12:00
- contract <random doohicky> caused an overload in the warp core, we had to take servers out of warp to attempt an emergency landing
- process a disrupted process b, which then collapsed process c <the whole alphabet later> and therefore we had this problem

I am sure CCP is doing there best. Little kids can be harsh because they do not understand the real world.. **** happens. CCP have been spending a lot of money upgrading the servers, not every potential server issue / conflict can be predicted when you make these types of upgrades.. I know we all want to play but there is a thing called the real world.... and no i dont mean the mtv reality show. Go outside... its summer... get a Girl friend... relax.. it is a game.. CCP will figure it out - this isnt WOW, EVE is unique and they are doing things that havent been done before... there is no precident--- its not like they are doing it purposely.....

Check your Starbases people. It may be a coincidence, but ours are now missing several days (5) of fuel and complaining they are low on resources because they have less than 21 hours of stuff remaining.

I had to cancel the corp op Saturday due to server issues and rescheduled for today :(.
I hope the server is back up in time for it in about 40 minutes.....
Hope you guys get it all fixed up though. Something didn't go smooth with that upgrade I'm thinking for python. We've had a lot of issues since it went live.

Really ccp is going in bad steps if they want 200.000 suscriptors on 12/2007. With continous laggy systems (last sunday was unplayable) and 2 breakdowns/week it will be necessary more than new hardware to maintain this.
i hope they find the solution

The "eve is uniqe" wont work on this one mate. Adolf ******* ****** was also unique. No precedent?! We at CCP run a large server farm..... it crashes a lot. Like there aint any other company in the world that runs a large server farm?!?!?!
We have at least a crash a week these days. Now I dont give a two penny **** about unforseen bugs in hard/soft ware upgrades: this is an unacceptable level of unplayability, while main issues, which have been flagged by the community and CCP itself (Lag, ISK sellers, desynch ETC.) run rampant as well as unchecked.
Everyone knows they dont do it on purpose but you have to agree that this is becoming completely laughable. What next?

At this rate, EVE 2008 will be web-based, an extension to the forums... We will get our HUD as a browser layer and be able to shoot posts. ;-P
It will also be the only web based game with 7 hours of scheduled and 20 hours of unscheduled downtime per day.
