Can we have reinsurance please that the RP side of Eve won't fade away with the withdrawal of Aurora team ?
We founded our corp entirely on that purpose. Should we dismantle it now ?

RP will never fade so long as there are players willing to RP. Without players and corporations who RP on various levels in different ways, AURORA would not have been able to be as good as it was. Remember, it's the players that make EVE what it is.
EVE(RP) never fades.

Ive always supported the mod team and at some stage would have liked to have worked along side them, but alas that is not to be now.
Wish all that are leaving ISD the best of luck

This sounds like a sad turn of events. I will miss you guys. You never moderated me wrong, and every thread of mine you closed and every post you deleted was well deserved.
You did a good job, ISD, and this makes me :(

Still sad about this. I will of course, look foward to whatever restructuring is going on with CRC. But I am going to miss AURORA very much. Especially as someone interested in joining. Player-run events are great, and player rping and all that. But AURORA was just able to have the tools to give it the occasional extra "Oomph".

ôWar is not the dreadful end to all things as mankind fears. Conflict brings balance to nature as it adapts, mutates, and transforms itself into something stronger than before. Mankind is the master of nature because we can choose those mutations on our own accord. We can accelerate the inevitable dominance of a species. Through war, we can make ourselves stronger at the time and place of our choosing. War is not hell, far from it. War is beautiful. Unfortunately, whilst this is way too blunt to put it, I have to say a lot of people feel the same way.
AURORA will be missed. Just get us a better engine CCP, or at least something to move the car with.
And no, not a donkey pulling the car. We dont like animals...
To ISD staff: Its been a great pleasure watching (and at one time, participating) in RP events, and even in helping the newbies in Rookie Help so many months ago. I can see how much fun and yet, hard work it is, and I greatly appreciate it all.
I just wish more could be done to alleviate the worries of many, like myself. -

This is the first and only post I will ever make on this forum.
I met a group of amazing people in my short time at Aurora. From the first second I talked to them it was clear this was a group of incredibly clever, intelligent people. I feel CCP is making a mistake by letting so much talent go. There is very little in the way of details for anyone as to the future of events and forum moderation. I think I would speak for most or all of Aurora when I say we'd feel a lot better knowing there was a solid plan for the future of our work.
I'm astounded by the quality of people the program has attracted, and the quality of work they put out. Truly an honor and a privilege to have been able to act with such a wonderful group.
Thanks to Aurora. Actors, producers, and leads. Thanks to Galen for heading up this wonderful division.

It is a sad day. Do not be misled into thinking that we all leave with joyous hearts and harmonious hymns. An immense amount of work was done by our teams. Thousands of hours of toil and labor to bring to fruition the very tools and resources we used to fulfill our charters. But all things change.
To you guys in aurora, we were the best that ever was, and probably ever will be.
For the legacy

Edited by: Dark Guardian on 28/08/2007 23:23:29 Just wondering... is there a plan in the works to replace the volunteers who have been "fired" with a similar number of paid workers? Why not?
Just read that several of those who worked in Interstellar Correspondents, are now going to "[work] more closely with the staff of EVE TV." EVE TV is taking over the volunteer universe :( |

CCP, are there any updates on forum moderation and specially Aurora?
I personally am not a roleplayer, but: I think that we need MORE CCP/Aurora-provided RP and not less (or nothing). I think that we should notice MORE RP ingame and not less.
And I think Eve really needs volunteers and lots of. They are keeping Eve alive. The day where CCP closes ISD will be the beginning of the end of Eve.

However; Your spirits will certainly live on in myself, I am a mod on a board or two, the eve-o volunteer spirit will not die.
I have just one question, will the avatars die aswell or will the people be allowed to keep them and show up in small events/on occasion to remind us of how life used to be, albeit with reduced/no admin rights etc?
Nonetheless I salute you all, I cried, I laughed, I sprayed coffee all over my work computer repeatedly...

Given the observable bias of the Forum Moderators and since they're being phased out, I was wondering if there would a removel of bans, warnings, etc. handed out during this period?
I think most people can ultimately agree there were some very questionable decisions rendered during the life of the forums and I accept CCP's moving moderator in house as a general nod towards these unfavourable practices.
So, will people be given a fresh start with an unbiased and accountable moderation team?

Observable bias?
Do you still dont get that we are watched closely by CCP? You really can stop to accuse my team of being biased. You either have proof and forward it to the internal affairs department or you dont.
