According to my info there is some sort of confederation in the New Regions you maybe didn't know about. Those regions are somewhat poor and hard to live on, so together seemed to be working for those guys up there. In this sort of confederation if some member has it's sov. attacked there is a response (diplomathic, call to arms, whatever is needed I think) so by engaging those guys you just made lots of alliances there stop the regular operations in branch (check BKG conflict) so in fact you accomplished nothing but indirectly helping BoB friends in branch (although BKG system node died so there wasn't need of more troops today XD)
I'm not an alt but I'm informed and honestly this attack seems to have little sense and lack real objectives others than getting those regions HOT! (or should I put my tin foil hat on?)
Ohhh the dramallama calls!!! I love it :)
Generally correct, minus the "these regions are somewhat poor and hard to live on" part. Smash/Roadkill decided they didn't like us, so they're trying to take our station. The rest of the alliances friendly with us responded, and now the pew-pew has commenced. There will probably be a real post about this later, currently 350+ in local and fluctuating as people crash/login/etc.
we shoot you cause of the hot blue on blue action you gave us
seriously don't shoot moody alliance leaders.
oh the fight was pretty epic, still fighting going on on TS. i'm very proud of my absolution, got some nice kills before succombing to so much lag i couldn't tell which way i was pointing.

Not quite true. We decided that for the security of the area, having an alliance that protects its stations with small and offline towers in a 6 moon system, is perhaps not the best neighbour. Invictus and OXIDE were blue to SMASH and RK, and at least in the case of Invictus. Indicated that they didn't care about you guys. They subsequently jumped at the chance to get a good few hours in shooting haulers etc that still saw them as blue. It seems that to Invictus and Oxide, blue means nothing, so I'd watch your backs. Still, it means way way more targets, just when we were getting bored so this is going to be alot of fun (provided the servers get alot more hampsters). Interestingly if Invictus. had asked us not to attack, instead of turning around and shooting blues, this might all be over. Sounds like they want mass pew pew even more than us. :o
As for ultimate enemy? We were kind of hoping for some less server - destroying fun... Abit of an epic fail there.
Anyway, looks like if Invictus etc don't give up this is going to cause a long and bloody conflict. Months worth \o/ (Not the taking of the system, the conflict in general)

Now i'm giving you guys a update on the action in drone region.
On 8/29/07 smashkill launch a assault on IO in MJ-5 system 6 pos in system were put into reinforce mod and no resistance with the suprise attack. A few ships tryed to undock and reach there pos in time but the system it's self was place on lock down and many ships didn't make it out.
After a few hours of shooting at the pos a hostile gang of 50 frigates came from TDP system after our scout give them a smack talk of there life time to get them to jump into MJ-5. Once the hostile gang jumped into system it was a race of who can get the most kills for Smashkill pilots.
There be a update on whats going on later for i went to bed right after the frigates fleet was killed then i hear a hostile bs gang of Oxide (which was blue to us) begin to open fire on smashkill.

Here's how it went down:
At approximately 2130 today, combined fleets of FREGE, Invictus, OXIDE and The Imperial Order, with friends, engaged the combined forces of Roadkill, SMASH, Atlas and other alliances.
The Drone Alliances came to the aid of the Imperial Order after the opposing forces had knocked several Imperial Order POSs into reinforced. It was decided that a sovereignty challenge within the Drone Regions would not be tolerated, and a large gang was mustered, which then jumped straight into the Roadkill Gate Camp.
Casualties were heavy on both side and full killboard stats are still pending, but at the end of the fight the drone alliances held the field, having destroyed multiple carriers and dreads. It was a great fight, lag was horrendous, but we sure as hell had a lot of fun. Full credit to our opponents, they gave it everything they had and were very gracious in defeat.

i think we lost 4 caps or something. By the rk killboard we were outnumbered about 2-1, and ignoring caps kill, loses are somewhat even when figuring in smash/atlas loses not on the rk board. 22 rk bs loses to 44 kills atm.

That's a flat out lie. At the very least it was a standings reset without notice, there were 6 hours of people being shot by invicuts while blue, and no one on our side had been notified of any standings change. Your Antipodean Inc. guys were gloating over it. Nothing they enjoyed better than to kill haulers and Hulks that saw them as blue.

I can agree that the 'Drone Alliance' capitals only went in towards the end. I'm not sure at what stage ours where part of the battlefront, however im told quite early. To have an accurate view of how things looked, we had approximately 175 in gang, 150 in system, after 5-10 minutes into the fight, our gang had dropped to less than 50. I don't know what the 'Drone Alliance' looked like, but when I logged back in on my Main, there was 383 in local, 58 in gang. You do the math, our 'solid gate camp' had been desynced to death unfortunately.
Props to bringing it however, it was definately enjoyable for the most part. Just a shame that these issues have to cause such tension and problems within our game universe.

Um. yeah, we all knew FREGE would show up, that isn't really a concern. We were kind of expecting it or this would have been a 3 day non-event.
Weren't quite expecting Invictus and OXIDE who we allowed to anchor POS's in our space for jump-points to start shooting blues without warning or even trying to get us to stop first. (They asked we might have). So now we have more targets \o/.
