When we moved to drone space months ago, I went looking for RK diplos to confirm that we'd drop standings with you (we copied FREGE standings as we were their residents back then). The thread on the eve-o forums wasn't stickied or something at the time, so I went browsing your boards and found This. Now once I found that, I tried to convo Gloria as Ultan wasn't on for the several days I paid attention, convo never answered. So I sent a mail to Gloria: no reply. Having done all I could, I reset RK and went about my business. Now in the time since then, we have had multiple engagements where RK fired on us and NO ONE EVER said anything in local about us being blue. When we blew up scooter in N-RAEL a while back, he actually warped in on us and started firing, once again all that was said in local was "GF" before we got his pod. Now I imagine you probably did have us blue for a while, but that was NOT due to us not attempting to communicate a standings change. If this war is honestly over us shooting you while blue, you are starting a war over nothing more than diplos not checking mails or taking convos. ---------------- Alliance Killboard

As said above, any killboard is pretty inaccurate, if you were able to sync every single killboard from those involved and get them all on the same page, you'd probably still only be 95% accurate. I'm sure there are plenty of guys in FREGE etc who love this fight, just as there are plenty in RK and SMASH that do. Lots of pew pew and close to home. RK and SMASH were 1/10th this size they are now when they spent 3 MONTHS taking TDE and surrounds. 3 months of putting POS's into reinforced and repping them when they came out. That's alot of resolve. In the end when neither side could clear the othersides POS's SMASH dropped 30 large deathstars in one night, not pos spamming small towers, offline towers, or just a large one with fuel and stront. Fully equipped deathstars that couldn't be taken down (anyone who brought enough to even try crashed the node).... Now that was the solution to a 3 month long conflict... Since then we've grown exponentially and have 6 stations from none.... We win, or we lose kicking and screaming and dragging our feet. We don't just get shown the door to empire and walk out :o

I mean they are all allied so it must make more sense to become one super alliance!

If it's too hard to grasp :P Just keep it simple, we're called "MAD", we are quite "mad" and in the current case we're rather "mad" at SmashKill :P MAD Pact: simple cohesive structure. Pew pew is fine, everyone can handle all the usual but are fine and free to team up but MAD deals with Capital Sovereignty. What an odd region. We don't have the same standings. Some of us were blue to Smashkill before us, while Frege and Smashkill were in active conflict. Some of us are blue to RA, some are not. We are not 1 alliance, but we have a common defence pact. A sovereignty attack on 1 is treated as a sovereignty attack on all. Kraftwerk noticed it when they attacked ED, now Smashkill with IO. People often refer to CI as an alliance we did not protect, which is correct as CI was never a MAD-pact member and thus we had no reason to protect them under the MAD-pact agreement. ------------------------------------------------ Murphy's Golden Rule: Whoever has the gold, makes the rules.

It lets us be our own little groups and have whatever friends we want to have, and pursue whatever goals we want to pursue, without having to see a bunch of extra people in alliance who don't share those friends/goals. We all share one goal however, and that's to defend our mutual sov in the drone regions. So we're on the same page for that one. TBH, having been in a large regional alliance or two, I find this system to be far preferable to the other. With sov changes the way they are, and the other changes made in the last few patches, I fully expect smaller, more granular alliances holding a few heavily fortified station systems in a couple constellations to become the norm, rather than the exception. It's just too much work to defend widespread space for most alliances.
