Please check that the following 3 lines are in your prefs.ini if running under cedega (or wine).
audio=0 audiodriver=0 voiceenable=0
uh. whoa. So i'm guessing that means cedega waits for a transgaming update?

Use a separate install folder for each client, create a shortcut to each of the eve.exe files and append "/END /LUA:OFF" switch to each of them.

Stay tuned where exactly?
And by "what we are doing in the meantime" do you mean in regard to these implants specifically or in more general terms about your area of game design?

Maybe a little offtopic or not in line with most problems people have here installing the patch.
The error you are getting is what i got last patch. I downloaded a full client, not the one provided in the download client section, but another link.
It worked for me, in that case on that computer. If all things have failed, maybe this is a possible solution. If not let me know (i am sure people will :) )
the post i made then:

Add the /END /LUA:OFF Stuff to the command path (in the properties) of your shortcuts.

Got that during the auto update process. Ok... I reinstall EVE from the client 34791 and apply the downloaded patch evepatch34791-36191.exe
Same error.
Sweet :(
We tested that patch in house and it works fine. Try re-downloading the patch file itself.
Downloaded evepatch34791-36191.exe and applied it over a freshly reinstalled EVE_Setup.exe
Exactly the same error. Using Windows XP SP2.
Downloading the uptodate full client will take several hours with my connection. Any ideas ? (Anyway, I start downloading it, better to start now if there is no fix... ![Wink](/images/icon_wink.gif)

Have you by any chance deleted any files from the EVE/BIN folder?
If not, you can re-download the full client. Your cache should stay intact unless you're running the /END /LUA:OFF options.

After patching, it keeps displaying server status: unknown at the splash screen, and when I try and log in anyway, it says: "Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong."
That's odd. :(

I would conjecture that it is in fact YOUR responsibility to ensure that your patch does not corrupt a normal installation, not mine to re-download a 450MB client over a 5Kb/s connection. ----------

At the moment I'd advise people to download a fresh full client if they're having issues with files in the /bin/ folder being corrupted. This appears to be limited to only Windows Vista users at the moment.
We're working on finding the cause for this though and hope to have something on it soon.

Thank you, downloading a fresh client now... Looking forward to resetting and sorting out all my Overview, Hud, Addressbook, Bookmarks ![Rolling Eyes](/images/icon_rolleyes.gif) ![Laughing](/images/icon_lol.gif)
Your should not lose all your settings though, after Revelations 2 the cache folder was moved to \\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP
So when you do another fresh install the client will automatically use your old cache without creating a new one instead.
