SO... while the techies are fixing the poor server and trying desperately to get the CCP hamsters to procreate up some new hamsters using immeasurable amounts of icelandic hamster beer with accompanying hamster aphrodesiacs, could the content team PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE give us the skill reqs for the 16 new Rev 3 ships.

The downtime doesn't actually bother me - staying awake for an extra 2 hours in order to save my ship, however, does.
It's fine for a game to voluntarily take my time if I'm enjoying playing it, but when I'm just staying up all night to minimise the effect of the server's problems, it starts to irk.

Let me take that a step further and say that never have I seen any enterprise SAN that has the issues CCP's apparently has. Database, network, hardware... good grief...

This sucks. I've been online 5 crahses over the last 24 hours and this really ******* sucks. That said, Wrangler's detailed account of the problem at least made me feel like CCP is taking this seriously. Detailed posts like that are much appreciated. Now, rally the damn hamsters get this server moving!

(re - doing something unrelated)... Same here. I even tried listening to Eve Radio for the first time ever, to see if there was any information. Unfortunately the music was worse than a bad Eurovision song contest - did I pick some sort of post-modern cool night, or is it always that bad? :-)

NOT defending THAT game - but 5mm users / what? 30 servers? About 166,666 players per server? And on patch day you know everyone's checking in to see their stuff.
I like EVE a lot better (SUPERIOR game and players) . . . but this line of argument doesn't stand.
