Hey all !! WOW what a thread, brings me back to Synd / working w/ the 5 and the goons !! Sorry to read Jirard is no longer playing (his pants were cool no matter what you say!), I won't say much about TBB but it was fun and I really think we made a mark (or at least some great history) in the annals of the EVE verse. I was burned out (just ask Nes  ) so I quit as well but with the new expansion and a general "miss the old days" I'm back (everyone hide yer Spiced wine  !) As far as LIH reforming, we had our ups and downs but the old LIH leaders Evetalon, Nes, Jirard, Xors and his week straight (23/7)
mining (even Hectic) I can only say; Oh Captain my Captain . . .

I don't believe the word "irony" is applicable, but rather perhaps "serendipity", "coincidentally", or "happenstance". Perhaps a more accurate statement would be in fact "I'd like to say a blob I was in killed that guy your talking about during this same time frame in the same region, but on the other side of it, as which you are discussing right now."
Perhaps it is just ironic that some system named K25 that was off in empty space should have been the subject of thekiller8's corp/alliance utilizing a Lockdown warning on a public access channel, also. If that is the subject of what was ironic, well. You're right. How ironic, they should have done that at the time so that his funny moment in a flash video would be far less hypocritical, or should that be ironic given the fact the context shifted?

e-r still had ips at that time, it then changed hands to storm armada (the second time) then got taken away by a combination of ci/fe and smash/kill, mainly the former. its wasn't unti l ci had left after a month or so and iss moved in the smashkill went in and took the station after macabre votum shot a tower or two of theirs (iss) into reinforced.
chronology of ips ownership, start with tbb:
tbb > storm armada > E-R > storm armada > ci > iss > smashkill > roadkill/anarchy empire > roadkill

Man that was a good vid, I lol'd many times watching that.
Actually I got a Q for ex-tbb guys. Now that time has passed, was that really a fair depiction (albeit exagerated for the purposes of screen) of what happened when hostiles entered local, or was it really a pretty acute case of poetic license?

I would say that by the end... that was a faily accurate description of the neutrals. The video failed to show that blue foruces would then come in a HUGE blob for that one inty to kill it... but the video came about because Burn Eden did such a ridicoulous job confounding our PVP forces at first and instead of attacking us... attacked only neutrals... and spewed BS in local about supremecy. That is what birthed the idea of the "lockdown" and at the end of the tenure... it did get comical... and the video... defintely personified that to a "saturday night live sketch level" that we all appreciated.

You can count me in, Rick.  Some of my best memories getting WTFPWN in my Vexor and Domi in NEMP. I still remember our covert ops pilot warping to a enemy POS and getting popped while we learned about POS warfare. And then there was the empire war and I think it was Manas in EVE Uni who was teaching us PVP. Ah yes the Good times!!!
RIP, Sempra (yeah I regret deleting him as I never thought I would come back to EVE. Boy was I wrong...)
