I was CEO of a Big Blue corp (NEMP), just before the fall. I think NEMP was in BB for a total of two months or so, before BB disbanded. I miss it.
We had good times in BB. Frigate gangs, Alektorophobia coming to help (after we fought them). 4-CUM5 POSes (greatest system name ever).
Much love to the people who were in that alliance.
BB RIP - until EVE is ready for a completely neutral space holder, allowing free renters and people like EVE University a place to learn. --

NEMP was my first corp, and after my short time with them I was in E-Uni both before and after the TBB collapse.
Basically TBB never recovered completely from the MC war. When the Four Horsemen left we lost our most experienced pvp core, and the constant presence of SAS (later joined by Euphoria Released) and some other pirate groups put enough pressure on NAGA to cause them to decide to leave 0.0. They offered IPS to E-Uni but there was no way that the Uni could hold off the kind of corps we were facing. So TBB decided to disband and give IPS to Storm Armada, who promptly lost it to Euphoria Unleashed.

I liked and approved of NAGA and Big Blue. Well, I don't know anything about illegal corporate doings, I just liked the easy of use and freindly store tenderers.
Also, civilized space seems like it is a good thing for the people of the cluster.

My two week trial was in Euni during the MC war, I was taught how to tackle, given a frigate and basic fittings and promptly died about 4 times a day or so to MC ships. Was the most fun Id ever had in a MMO. I miss those days sometimes.

We need the old corps of Big Blue to come together and form up again.
Should not be a problem to persuade the current residents of their space to leave, or allow BB to take control of it back. And if they do not want to be nice, I am sure there are plenty of people in this game that will help to force their hand.
How about it Big Blue? Just say the word and we can get the ball rolling.

I am game. I have 15M (at least) more SP than I did when I was CEO of NEMP. Half of EVE was red (because though we were neutral, they liked to shoot our tenants).
Raivi, I apologize, I believe I was in Europe when the proverbial **** hit the fan (after MC), and I was unfortunately hung out to dry when the XO decided to leave before I came back. But NEMP did a fantastic job doing whatever they could without me. Fearless new guys! = D.
Corps and members of TBB were something to be feared. Because they had none! --

Well the main problem I remember about trying to hold that space is that its very tough to defend and really wasnt worth all the headache. I know I have been in conversations where someone will bring up going back in and taking it back but its just a pipe dream imho

Ah, good old times. Being in BB space was my first introduction to 0.0 space back in 2005.
After roadkill took over IPS, there were many of us shouting "lockdown!!!!" when some hostiles entered through Oijanen.

That¦s nonsense.
I bet you refer to the CCP press release regarding a conglomerate selling T2 stuff too expensive and illegally trading the ISK.
You might want to look for big T2 Traders that are no longer around now - naga still is, and is well alive and kicking (with all the upper guys still in their chairs).

N.A.G.A. is still doing their thing, making and selling mad phat lewt to the masses.
Eve University is still doing their thing, training the mad phat masses. Some of them (along with some of the Four Horsemen) split off after The Blue Pill fell and formed a new corp called The Graduates. They were in ISS for a while, and they're in BRUCE now.
The Four Horsemen headed out to BoB space and I haven't heard from them since.
I haven't seen Fatalix in a while, but I'm sure they're still around.
And NEMP's old CEO has already chimed in.
There was one other corporation, but I can't quite remember their name. No clue what happened to them. _

I think that would be RNLMF (or something similar)... Haven't heard anything about them since E-UNI left [BLUE], just over 1 year ago...
I do miss those days... I got my first taste of PvP hunting SAS in BWF, not 2 weeks after starting the game.

I was one of the first goons to go up and scout around The Blue Pill when LIH asked us to help them with a defence op back in...early 2006? It wasn't against the MC, might have been alektorophobia? That was good times, first time I felt directly involved in galactic politics. Bring back Big Blue, I say. They were a decent bunch and didn't deserve to be killed by that ***** Seleene and his puppetmasters.

I'm afraid TBB closed down because of several reasons. One of the main reasons was it's neutral non-agressive stance. It means that if we had lots of good pvpers around pirate corps and alliances stayed away and the pvpers got bored. As a result pvpers left and pirates came. Which then got some pvpers intersted and so it waved up and down a bit.
When LIH left combined with leadership burnout it was over really. We struggled some more but it was always going to end sooner rather then later. MC did deal us a major blow and while we were still down SAS en ER capitalised on that and made sure we didn't recover.
IMO if you want to have some sort of policed area then the police must be allowed to be proactive and chase hostiles etc.
There were good times yes, I remember the week before MC came we had one of the best times EVE Uni has ever had. Lots of activities, classes and events. Too bad it wasn't meant to last.
Will it ever be again? Perhaps, perhaps not. Would we consider getting involved again? With a good plan we just might

That was one hell of an op - my first experience of a POS takedown, and damn good fun.
Also, you guys made me jump a mile - I'd no idea you were camping the Oij gate for us, and jumped into the middle of what looked like 100 frigates!
There was something about the Big Blue that made it stand out - a friendliness between the members and neutrals (most of them) that made the experience a good one. Of course it all fell apart when the bad guys got organised, but still - good times.
An as for the Royal Navy (I can't remember what they were called either) they were damn good pilots to fly with - I always liked to be in fleets with those guys.
Happy days!

Technically, EU arived during the switch over from TBB to STORM, but EU with allies overpowered STORM within a week if i remember correctly, then EU had it for awhile, then grew bored of offensive pos war vs smashkill so we gave it away to STORM for free, then CI took it off them a few weeks later i think lol

So you mean to say that Burn Eden are willing to help BIG regain their former space after you guys attacked becuase one of you members didn't go to school and learn how to read like the rest of us and then the entire corp through a hissy fit when TornSoul wouldn't repay the 100mill bet?

BB was just CFS mk II on a much smaller scale. The final result is the same as well. I'm sure someone someday will try it again, and the result I'll predict will be the same there again.

The Big Blue in itÆs prime lasted about 6 months in IPS, which was a pretty good run for mid-to-small sized alliances in one place. Not more or less than the average more aggressive alliances of similar size.
I miss Big Blue a lot. It was a great resource when I was in the Uni. ItÆs location was only a few jumps from itÆs head quarters. We were able to use IPS to teach students about 0.0, and allow the instructors some 0.0 and PvP fun as well. It was a bit of a blow to the Uni not to have that anymore. I created ôThe Graduatesö to be a place kind of replacement place for Empire players to go to learn 0.0/PvP (after learning the basics from great institutions like E-Uni). TGRAD is now in the BRUCE alliance which has some of the same feel (lots of spirit, partial NRDS, and a 0.0 space near Empire), but significantly more teeth.
Much of what I do now as a CEO is trying to emphasize what Big Blue did right, and correct what Big Blue did wrong.

Good times, good times. It's like a reunion party in here. Manas is the one that recruited me into E-UNI.
I remember MC declaring war. Then waiting the full 24 hour period before they engaged us at the OIJ gate in BWF. I remember someone talking about it on TS, and I was all confused why they should attack us earlier than the 24 hr period.
Now my corp and I are the ones doing the small raids into BWF / 8MG / IOO and beyond.
On the MDK killboard I still have losses that have me tagged as E-UNI.

I remember my time in E-Uni/TBB fondly, and strangely enough, it was the MC war that got me hooked into wanting to join MC, as they were the first alliance that really outsmarted me instead of catching me when I do my random stupid mistakes.
TBB was awesome because of what they offered to the masses in terms of 0.0 experience, and I remember some really eager, blue-eyed students that'd gather around in 0.0 with you when you did classes and it was just great!
It was a shame it had to come to an end, but alas, at the time with how it was going, it was inevitable. That's not saying TBB in soul and spirit wasn't good...but a lot of things that was supposed to keep TBB afloat when it really mattered - Failed entirely to do so. This is, again, not me saying I'm blaming anyone specifically, it's just the simple truth and it was difficult to watch, but as long as E-Uni prevails like it has so far - I'm happy and I couldn't want anything but good things for my old corp! Go E-Uni! \o/ oh and hi MM! (^_^)/
Ps: Devilish, the corp you're thinking of was the corp lead by Seekrieg (Royal Navy something something).
