There's not going to be a BR post for a bit because from what I gather the fight is still going on.
BoB jumped their capital fleet in to engage the AAA/RA cap fleet in the area. I've heard about a 2nd Titan in the mix plus several capitals going down. No more details yet though.

well first gj on scanning or spying thulsa out. dunno how it happened exactly, but i think/hope sel will post soonsih.
as from my point of view the follwoing happend.
we prepared the fleet to lock teh system down / hammer the hostile pos. when ET cynoed in (finished his phonecall home i guess), and ddŠd a handfull of our ships.
shortly after this thulsa joined our gang, and we were told to warp to him.
at this point i just thought 'oh my *censored* god', when i saw the direction were the warp was going to.
lag was pretty much non existant for me.
after a while fighting iŠve gotten a bit lag. (maybe desynced slightly dunno)
warped out, warped back in and all was fine.
like i said dunno anything how they could scan the location of the titan. think we will get answers.
anyways. nearly no goons where harmed during this fight. they were all smacking the forums.

I am genuinely curious, has there been *any* entity in EVE so far that sided with BoB and actually benefited from it?
I mean I am thinking ASCN, LV, Xelas, all the other pets, *snip* off topic - hutch , and now just costed a titan to MC

He didn`t i guess. I jumped my titan ontop of my enemy, and made rude strategical mistake, providing enemy for warping point JUST at me. Thanks God they were too slow. Next time - get your facts before posting.

- mineral cost of titan is not that high and they will build many more - this will come from seleene together with a sig about super-caps being built from a conveyor belt. :)
- RSF is talentless
- h4x, it should be reimbursed
- metagaming if spies were used - since Digital Communist jumped ship you can now take offense at ppl using similar tactics

So far this month RSF lost 50+capitals and 1 mothership vs. Alliance around 13+ capitals and 1 titan.
RSF looted the 13+ wrecks, alliance looted all the 50+cap wrecks + their own titan.

There's no turning back for MC now.

you are stupid. it has nothing to do with EULA, legitimacy doesn't necessarily mean whether it breaks rules or not. It means there was someone piloting it. An unmanned titan can't warp out.

Replacing a titan takes time, -A- has dreads stockpiled.
MC is now dependant on BoB for DDD.
So for them this is the loss of a huge, overpowered ship.
The isk loss is large but isk does not decide wars.

It was not about spies, it was a clean job by coverts/dictors. Seleene doesn't even suspect how many times our coverts were on deep spots with his titan I guess (and how many dictors in -A- gang are DD-tanked :D ;) ). Today all the circumstances fit well and we executed a pretty old plan.
<3 ET who is a *ucking genious to handle all the organization and -A- pilots who made it all step by step. RED guys also, awesome cooperation, thnx for your amazing help.

It makes it more difficult to spot people recording on TS, recording which I think can be livefed into another channel. Basically, there is a symbol on TS for recording, and there is a symbol for a muted mic. The muted mic symbol takes precedence when both are happening.
Anyway, even then its easy to spot, if you click on the person, you can see if he is recording in the description.
Also I guess that having the Mic muted makes it less likely for the spy to accidentally speak on the wrong TS and give himself away.
There are probably more sophisticated spy things around, and I might not have understood everything of it, but this is roughly what I was told about it.

Honestly, spies shouldn't be able to do too much for a titan kill. If you're broadcasting friendly titan material to untrusted sources you deserve to lose it. I don't see why anyone has to go "OKAIE GIES....we r warpin titan 2 safespot 100au out lol no 1 can get us lolol" on Teamspeak....just do it quietly.
My guess coincides more with the -A- recounting: good scanners, good dictors, perfect execution.....that's what killed this Titan. |

There is one other factor that has been missed here it also masks Channel Command which is where Command discuss the tactics of the battle as it plays out. MC has caught quite a few spies on our own TS by checking this regularly.

Spies using this method could effectively gain access to Command Comms and is something that should be checked regularly IMO Loomi was correct to present all the information avail.

I agree that MC will have options after Bob is dead. Bob's pet's won't, but MC are professionals. Too bad they are so intertwined with Bob that they will have to be beaten down before they can stand on their own again.

To all of you saying MC is going to die, don't you think that's a little far fetched? From flying with them for a very long time, I've learned that MC is probably the hardest working and one of the most wealthy alliances in the game, they are built on teamwork and though this is a huge hit both financially and tactically, it's going to take a lot more than that to bring MC to their knees. Nice job on the titan kill, it's always refreshing to see that even the biggest and best ships in the game can go down with some planning. See you on the battlefield.

Not really knowing the backround to the battle in which the kill took place, my only question is this.
Was the Titan in battle because MC were covering for BoB and their recent setbacks or was it out and about due to an offensive move dictated by MC.
This loss just seems unlike MC and I was wondering if their hand was forced by their allies?

Yep, he was well tanked, my gigapulses did 'bout 900-1000 at his shield. Yu will see it on fraps i hope . But looks like he was passive and nano-fit in low. He was fast for his size but that haven't saved him

I don't think anybody is seriously suggesting that losing a titan is going to kill MC.. infact out of all BoB's 'allies', MC are the group that have most prospects post-BoB should the coalition get to dine in NOL.
However, I think what most people will agree on is that FIX is the next on the menu.
The big loosers out of the MC titan loss is not actually MC but FIX.... I'd be pooing in my pants if I was you

Is the titan kill a major blow to bob's side? yes of course. will it crush the bob side? NO.

I doubt this is anywhere the defeat of MC though. I think the Titan in my eyes is more of a symbol of accomplishment/achievement/power than comparing to isk value.
I think the biggest pain will not be of the wallet, but of heart and morale.

When the D2 Titan went down and I found out at work I was hurt, and I wasn't fighting on that front, and not in D2 alliance. We "the coalition" as we were dubbed I think lost alot of passion and fire that day.

From what I heard non covert ships can be scanned out now because the cloak gives a large sig reduction but doesn't make the ship invisible to probes.
Can anyone confirm this is true because if it is, the cloaking reduction on a ship with a 15km sig radius would mean, you wouldn't need much luck to find a deep safed cloaked titan if they start probing at the right time?

You cannot probe a cloaked ship at all. They probed him while he was briefly uncloaked at a safe before DT, he logged out there. After DT, he logged back into that safe (already compromised), got uncloaked and bubbled by a dictor and the comedy began.

stupid question. but when a titan dies, does it leave a permanent wreck behind as a monument? if i remember correctly i think the ASCN one was done that way, never heard about D2's and seem's like ive heard that goon's salvaged there's? lol

People chose to enter a desynced situation, and still have their reps, fighters and smartbombs active, unlike people who logged off when there were no hostiles to worry about.
Two very different things.

100% incorrect the d2 titan was sitting at pos about to log for the day when a d2 alt spy owned by digital communist flew right next to him and used a smartbomb on him while he was loggin they then scanned him out and destroyed him when he logged back on he was in structure it was over so he just logged in disgust

Cyvok logged after people had been shooting his wrecks, giving him aggro (Silly ****** was NPCing ) and the D2 titan got hit by a micro-smartbomb from an Anathema piloted by Digital Communist. D2 should learn to not logoff outside of POSes
Ms Tolarri, Cyvok logged 13 minutes after he DD, which reset his 15 min agro timer, there was no shooting of wrecks, he wasnt npc'ing in a system with 100 hostiles in it.
Also the D2 titan pilot did indeed login whilst we were killing him, he was in about 70% armour when he logged in, he logged out about 30-45 seconds later.

There was no way the D2 Titan kill could be legit a shame on CCP that they made it.
Few Minutes after the kill there where CCP people in Sys congratulated Bob to this kill i wonder if they have come too when the MC Titan went down.
Alone that there was a Anathema with a micro Smartbomb is proof enough of exploit using. How many Covertops with Smartbombs are flying around killing .. śhm.. Shuttles?
If the plan was to just aggro the Titan he couldnt care less he would have just to wait little longer inside the pos. So what could have been the plan if not to get him when he logs off without knowing like it was done. As i heard the pilot was noticed in Ts or with phone imediatly and tried to logg back in as fast as possible but the grid wasn loading fast enough to prevent the death. No suprise if a load of Caps is placed around you.
Sure, it was a well executed plan with spy and a rdy capfleet, and maybe it was the only way to kill a titan these days, and sure its bit easier now to kill titans, but beside that is was a used exploit (this game mechanic is not meant to keep you inside the game without knowing) and this i will make bold IT WAS DONE WITH FULL INTENTION OF USING IT AS EXPLOIT so well done but it showed once more your will for metagaming and as you see now people do not forget this things too fast..

Sure its no exploit to fit that and i havnt said this. I said this fitting alone is proof that it should afterwards be used for an exploit thats a bit a difference. But tell me what you normaly do with your smartbombcovertops? I normaly fit only real bombs on my Covertbomber.. But maybe i can learn something from you. Its is no exploit to aggro someone who is loggin off without let him know?? If you think that go read the written definition of what is an exploit by ccp.

You can aggro scanned caps for example or any other ship.
Smarties donŠt requiere a lock to dmg the target (cause covert ops canŠt instalock after decloaking, only bombers can, at least they couldnŠt last time i checked ^^)
So sneak to the target > hit the button... and your taget has aggro PERIOD.
well i dunno if wotan was online in the moment where the smartie hit or not.
maybe he logged one min later and didnŠt notice it since he had his dmg messages turned off, or if he logged 2 sec after this not watching his screen.
I donŠt care. as for me the kill is legit.. Discutable but legit.

hmm i dont think that aggroing would have helped to kill a online Titan or Ms to this time because they where nearly immortal but it make bit sense after all and brings me bit towards your opinion... wait this is caod we must not come to an agreement with discussion here
So agreed back to topic.. Mc Titan down.. After all a nice kill and moral boost for Coalition and maybe a slight step towards defeat of Bob. For the sake of us all they must be destroyed,the fact alone ,that it is needed half of 0.0 Eve-population just to make slight progress aggainst Bob&friends shoes that its time to fight them.
So keep on working together like this you are doing great work
