Originally by: eleuthereus Although terribly saddened, and yes a little bitter (might as well admit it), frustrated, and tired, I have to say that my last 3 months with Fatal in the fight against rzr&co. has been terrifically fun. And, I suppose, that's what the game is largely about -- having fun. Soooo, once again I bid 0.0 goodbye (this is really getting old), and head back to empire (sigh).
GF foes GF friends
Personal Note: 1) I never surrendered. And would have much rather fought until my last ship went up in flames. But hey, that's just me. 2) One of the most critical blows for me was finding out M. Pire had surrendered while we were engaged in active combat and suddenly ships started turning blue for everyone but Fatal/Cow. Surprise, surprise. Oooopsy.
I'll miss Branch and I'll miss the fights. Over & Out.

I would like a moment to congratulate rzr/mm and friends on sustaining such a long campaign. It was no small feet i would like to thank them for some good fights and some bad ( i hate lag) but at the end of the day someone must win and it was not us this day. Perhaps next time, as for the future of FAFAL Alliance who know, there is plenty of space and plenty of wars to fight im sure we will be found on a front line somewhere soon.
It is a shame that we did not hold out a little longer as im sure you are all thinking, but at the end of the day i think our decision was the wiser and i am very great full to rzr/mm for being gentleman enough to agree to allow us to leave in this dignified manner.
I wish them all the best and hope to have the pleasure of fighting them again some day. Until then on behalf of FATAL Alliance i bid you all good day.

Oh, and let me add - I bear no hard feelings against M. Pire. They are a bunch of super, super guys/gals with a lot of integrity and they are hard fighters. Same goes for COW and Fatal (my corpmates are an awesome bunch of guys. And I am sure that many equally great guys are in MM, Razor, Tri and friends.
So, it's all good (or, at least, will be eventually).
And btw NO BRAKES, as for me belonging in 0.0, I fell very comfortable there, as my KB stats have always shown. And I would suggest that if you or any other Goon ever sees me in 0.0 space again, which may very well happen, you should hit your MWD in the opposite direction as soon as posisble to save your implants. Oh wait, I forgot, you don't have the headspace or ISK to plug any in. Nvrmnd. Weeeeee! ________________________

What's that? Oh, sorry, wasn't really paying attention. I was too busy enjoying the bounty of the 4 0.0 regions we have conquered and hold in the south. You know, you guys really should try to hold an area of space for longer than 3 months. It probably goes against all your instincts as ex-members of LV, but regardless.

True words spoken. But I would have rather lost and failed with the likes of ASCN, LV, and Fatal pilots than own ALL of Eve with the likes of you Goons. That's why I left Goons. I didn't care at all whether ornot you ruled all of Tenerifis and beyond. I couldn't stomach you any longer. And yet I STILL didn't take a single Ultrapolite Socialites BPO or anything else -- all of which I had access too. (And that was more than any Goon would have done.) So go scam and deceive more noobs, pubbies, and carrier pilots - that's about your speed.
Ohhh, you better go now, I think I hear your mother calling you. Time for you to surry off to kindergarten. It's Monday morning. See you after school.
You sound pretty bitter for someone who "got over" goonfleet a long time ago.

Well, LV spread themselves to thin, and got eaten up, handing the batten to BoB to carry on, while ATUK - sorry I mean Shinra decided who was worthy to join into a BoB corp.... sound familiar from the FIVE ????? One corp tries to dictate everything, ends up annoying many of the alliance, and then joins BoB.... anyways, I digress... Several of LV form M.Pire and jump in to assist MC in the north. Rzr and MM are not best pleased by this, so they enlist the help of several alliances, and blob M.Pire in their own stations (lol), then M.Pire return to empire, to sell bpc packs.... did I miss anything ??

BoB have zero impact on what is going on in the north-east, they are nowhere near that area, and likewise you guys are not really taking any sort of pro-active measures to attack your so-called enemies either.
It's all a front, you all put BoB out there as the excuse for why you need to huddle together. In reality, you could reset standings at any time, but you just don't want to because thats outside your comfort zone.
If things don't go the way you think they are going to go, god help you when the pendulum swings in your direction.
When MC invaded with their then invincible supercaps, it didn't go our direction.
When Razor lost all it's space, it didn't go our direction.
We stuck with our friends and allies, and fought till you took everything out of our dying hands. Losing everything sure didn't go in our direction.
We've proven ourselves. Nuff said.

Funny thing, what I see here mostly are posts of M.Pire/Fatal/CoW and RZR/FATAL+Friends on how fun and fair everything was AND posts of some Goons+unidetified Alts that canŠt stand that , maybe you never understood what we all had up north while you where busy blameing us all ? Nevertheless, face the truth, you can flame as much as you want here, but youŠre not going to change the minds of "us (ex-)northerens" how it has been, nor can you turn anyone to your crude points of view on things.
Again, I am surprised and glad about the way former foes posting here about what was, thanks for that and weŠre gonna meet again anyway somehow for sure :)

Great fight RZR & Co. (lots of company). Great Fight Tri as well, keeping things interesting is good.
It was a hard earned and expensive victory, but you did earn it.
Huge props to my alliance mates, Fatal, and CoW. Quite a few of us had just jumped up/built another round of ships for the war and were engaging the enemy with 80 v 300 numbers up to the day of surrender.
These boards are mostly a place for smack from people not involved, it is a much clearer picture of things out in space. There are not a lot of hard feelings between the enemies in this northern war, and the post-truce behaviour has been frighteningly civil.

Why would m-pire moan on here you negotiated a surrender without informing your allies, basicaly bailing on them and giving them not much of a choice but to surrender as well.
I'd like to make something very clear:
M.Pire did not resign from this battle without first informing the leadership of the other alliances. Just because Joe Blow from FATAL and Jane Shmane from CoW didnt know about the surrender until after their respective alliances had followed suit doesnt mean that the leadership didnt know.
I respect a great many folks from the people we have been fighting so dilligently the last months. I wish them (honestly) the very best in the game. They faught very well right up to the last, and just because we "won" doesnt mean it couldnt have turned out very differently under slightly different circumstances.
It was our role to put as much pressure on the forces of M.Pire, FATAL, and CoW, and for the first time in BKG, we managed to keep the pressure up 23 hours of the day. For the first two days we were sieging POSes and Station constantly, and (though i wish it had lasted longer) understand exactly where and why the M.Pire/FATAL/CoW alliances decided to throw in the towel. Who knows, in time maybe they two will pull a RZR and take their space back.
Again, I want to offer a GF to all of my worthy foes who made this game fun for so many months. I really do wish you all the very best.

It's gonna be happy blueland... carebear heaven. personally im not happy that m.pire surrendered and left us no other option but to do the same. It was decission made too fast. But on another hand it's is good to see how many alliances worked together to kill us. There was atleast ~10 smaller and bigger alliances fighting us. Props for being better in politics and you sure did cry better then us when you were in trouble. Your mighty blob got spanked two times and you just took more and more friends with you. RZR and MM alone would have been walk in a park like it was first in v7-mid and second time in bkg assault.
Atleast we have cuts to admit we lost this fight, do not come to CAOD to talk goonss**t like some of the posts are here.
Those who call us BoB pets should stfu. Did you ever see any bob or MC in our fleets? Did we cry for help? We fought as much as possible and would have fought more.
This is directed and those of you who have chosen to take bitter little pot-shots here in this forum.
We've tried to be gracious in victory. Against our better judgement, we're letting you guys out of here with most of your assets intact. The very least you could do is tone down the bitter, self-serving rhetoric.
I can see where some of you might be bent about basically having your decisions made for you by M.Pire throwing in the towel. Still, you chose to quit, too.
The vast majority of the bitterness spewed in yours and other posts in this thread is completely uncalled for. After the past few months of watching certain members of CoW post in this forum and fighting you guys in the north, I think I have your measure and I find it lacking, to say the least.
Granted, a couple of poorly planned assaults got beaten back by you guys. Credit where credit is due. We learned from our mistakes and changed things up and ended up winning the day. On a day to day basis, I believe you'll find we gave you guys better than we got. With or without blobs. I can't remember too many non-pos related engagements that we lost vs. you guys. We rarely had any trouble fighting you. Once we bit off a bit more than we were prepared for. Another time, we achieved our main objective, but failed to take BKG. When we resolved to get the job done for sure, come hell or high water, we did. Deal with it. See ya later. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
You didn't face any more people at the end than you did when you decided to become interlopers in an area you weren't welcome. There was no crying or whining involved, unless we wish to get into characterizing your own rants as such.
If we're such a push-over, come on back, bud. Any time.
To be honest, we couldn't care less that you need to cling to the security blanket that is the "Northern Napfest" allegation. Whatever you need to tell yourself to feel more like "men" is fine. You're good, but you're not better than us. No one really cares whether you believe standings will be reset with this is all over.
