ok so every system has its own node, yes? i wonder would it be possible to add additional nodes that work like this...
X system has 300 players in it, terrible lag. The server detects high player count in that system and "attaches" more CPU power from "emergency" nodes? :S im no IT pro, just sharing my thoughts..

The alliance is mounting a hard, sustained attack, the coalition is putting up a hard, determined defense and (at least for right now) being slowly but surely pushed back. Classic test of will. Props to everyone involved.
Whether IAC/Red/AAA and others are able to hold, or whether their line breaks and IAC gets removed from the field, there is no doubt that the implications for morale and strategic position on both sides are huge.
why you say that? the difference on POS claiming sover from IAC to bob got only bigger from 3 weeks ago to today. The POS lost where less than what we deployed just after initial BOB "spam"

What are you smoking? BoB lost another station today in Feyth. FAT is just 1 system in 1 warzone. Whatever happens doesn't affect morale much for anyone I think. If it did, BoB would have crumbled after 66- or other systems in Omist they lost after fighting hard to keep it. ------------------------------------------------

Witch station? Real curiosity. I might want to go check the garage offers that the former residents placed on market.

We were getting updates of module-activation lag on TS from someone sitting there with a stopwatch. It was seven minutes, then ten, then dropped to four, then back to ten....
The reason you got that dreadnought as far into structure as you did was that our carriers took ten minutes to lock it, and another ten minutes to get their remote reps to activate on it, and his shield booster didn't activate until he was into armor, IIRC. In other words, the lag was hitting us, too. We just sat there and kept jamming our buttons.
Fights like this, BTW, are the reason everyone should use lasers.

Beating a dead horse.
-CCP did not design the game to be able to reallocate resources on the fly. They can only be reallocated by shutting down the affected nodes or the entire cluster.
-Under normal operations, low-traffic systems share a node with high-traffic systems to allow more solar systems to occupy one node. In the case of Jita, or a "reinforced node" system, the entire node is dedicated to that single system. This is the optimal scenario within the boundaries and limitations written into game, and it is still less than adequate.
-Throwing hardware at this problem won't fix it, unless something comes along that far outshines the current hardware is running. Unless the game is rewritten to allow a single system to span multiple nodes, you won't see any breakthroughs in performance.

Well, lets see:
I'm smoking the stuff that tells me IAC folding would be much bigger strategically and psychologically in this conflict than the epic conquest of the mighty Red Moon Federation that Goon has been crowing about so comically. No offense to RMF, I'm sure they're fine players, but I'm also sure that they'd be the first to admit that they aren't first order players in this game that IAC are.
I'm smoking the stuff that tells me that if IAC loses their space despite the determined combined defense of the Russians, AAA, TCF, and IAC combined, it shows that the alliance can gain ground wherever they focus no matter what the coalition throws at them. If the alliance fails, it will show that they cannot gain ground against the main Coalition fleet, the impact of which, again, would be huge.
I'm smoking the stuff that tells me that the coalition obviously sees FAT as the strategic battle based on how they are deployed. Otherwise they'd leave IAF to defend their own space and send their whole fleet to tear up Feyth.
All this wannabe propaganda by the Goons trying to get some attention just isn't working. As leet as I'm sure they think they are, the aliance just isn't biting. It's pretty obvious where the important action is going on.
Someone does need to get a memo down to the Feyth residents that they need to hang together, instead of being hung separately. This stuff about Rise moving to ISS space is just stupidity. ISS, RISE, EXE, and everyone else who lives down there and I presume wants to keep living down there needs to unify under one command and take it to the Goons as one force and put the their ass in a sling, or at least slow them up so that they have less to crow about while the important work is happening further north. BoB isn't coming to help you, but by the same token, Red and AAA are too busy to help Goon too, and they aren't much without them. Cowboy up and take it to them together, instead of letting them displace you one at a time.

Are GoonSwarm ever going to be allowed to build up in any way in 0.0 space again? No.

You see, ISS and RISE can't help down south as they've been ordered by BoB to help take FAT. The Alliance is throwing absolutely every possible body they can into FAT, and their not taking it anywhere near as fast as they had hoped and planned.
Anyway, I think I'll take a break from posting, as I don't want to get whipped by the ebil slave driver Tyrrax.

Right. The reality of the situation is that while FAT still stands and its pos stand more or less intact after the latest MC/BOB/friend push, your entire front around you collapses from a lack of defense elsewhere.

Quotin' this. Feyth is a lonely, lonely place, and Goons suck without their russian overlords. There's not much logic involved in fighting a fight for an alliance that's not going to help you at all while you lose your home.

Dude, you have less than NEGATIVE three hundred points on your own alliance's killboard.
At least show up on the field of battle--longer than it takes to get doomsdayed, anyway, which is your only appearance on an allied keyboard in the last ten months--before you smack me.
Alternately, include something concrete in your smack: Pilk smells funny, or Pilk is a jackass to everyone on TS when acting as FC, or SOMETHING. "Pilk is clueless" doesn't say much; about what am I clueless, exactly?
