NERF them MORE!!! FFS.
why? a raven with 2 stabs is still able to rat perfectly fine and avoid being locked down by the most ships. it can fit a cloak as well which does not take away any firing capability. cloak + stabs = ISK for the farmers. it is so pathetic one could come to think it is intentional by CCP.
a ship with WCS should be able to ONLY travel safer, and not being able TO LOCK ANYTHING.

He's locking Rats. It might take 30 seconds but he is invulnerable to ganking.

Yeah, because using 3 modules that all have horrible affects on your combat abilities just by being equipped to overcome your 1 that keeps them in place is so terribly overpowered. Especially when the only downside to your module is some minor cap loss when it's activated.
To me, warp scramblers are far too effective, and should have a system something like what target jammers currently are. That way, even ships stabbed to hell and back can be scrambled by a dedicated ship (just like they can now using 2 +2 strength scramblers), and you won't have any old ship preventing you from leaving if you have a WCS fitted. I can solo gate camp in a drake and not worry if a battleship pops in, even with the gate guns. That should tell you something about the terrible side effects of using a scrambler in place of other mods. Well, that, and the drake's a tad too tanky for a BC.
Besides, I can't even imagine fighting with a cloak and multiple stabs. You'd take a minute to target a BS alone, not to mention something smaller. If a pvp target managed to catch you you'd be dead before you could even lock them, assuming they ever got into your lock range.

He could be invulnerable anyways,most of them log off as soon as a new guy jumps in local,atleast thats my experience trying to kill them.

Ravens don't need to lock anything to rat. Just fire FOF cruise and go afk.

Really, if someone wants to neuter his isk/hour by fitting stabs and/or using fof cruise, let him. Ratting with that kind of setup prolly nets less than running L3s in highsec.

isn't it funny how some people advocate both GTC<=>ISK trades and EVE being superior due to its cruelty and costly losses, when they use the former to circumvent the latter?

You can do Lvl 4s afk in a raven with fofs.
Most of the time goes into finding the good spawns anyway, so using 33% more time on killing them matters little...

dude, ppl that are always aligned and hitting scanner tend to run from dictors. it's hard enough to catch them farmers without your witty comments.

True enough, you spend as much time warping as fighting, but it still gimps your earnings to a point where it imho becomes not worth it. Except for farmers, but there the problem is not the WCS, it is the existance of farmers.

If they are aligned and you can't catch them with a dictor, you couldn't catch them without WCS either.
If you think you could catch them with a fast Interceptor, just fit a Stiletto with 3 x 2 points. Problem solved.

FoFs have their own locking range, of 80km. They do not go past this range. Which means pretty much any rats, will close, fire and be valid FoF targets.

Afaik, the wcs nerf was for the ppl who used the ship in pvp.
They use wcs while ratting? i think it's perfectly fine

2 stabs +1 cloak and a sensorbooster t2 is more or less standard setup for the farmers. Also I rarly see em use cruisers so i doubt they got fofs, all the ones I ganked used torps as they are anyway chaining the battleships. also if u gank a farmer hauler alt u prob find torps....lots of torps.

Three inties with one point each, preferably Crows (so you can attack his weak resist) = dead NPCer if he doesn't cloak as soon as you enter the system. Even if they can't take him they can lock him down for support to kick his backside.

I take it math isn't one of your strong points.
Best warp stabilizer is 1 warp strength. Common Warp scramblers are 2 strength, commander scramblers are 3 strength. It is much easier to stop a ship from warping than it is to ensure you can warp.
If you are too tight you could always do what BoB does best, bring 3 people to do the job of one person. ;)

Warp Core stabs have saved my newbie ass a couple of times from gate camps (obviously super leet players). I don't bother any more, they're just impractical. |

WCS have already been nerfed to oblivion. NOBODY uses them on Combat setups anymore except perhaps first-time PvPers, and that's how it should be, really.
I honestly didnt mind the times when everyone fit WCS on everything, because they'd be next to worthless against an equal ship. Now people just fit for speed instead

lol 25k lock range + 30mm scann resolution with 2 wcs is quite a drawback mate.. fit more points

I take it you can't figure a way to hold down a ratter. May I suggest you try bringing a friend.
People asked for wcs to be nerfed, so they were.
Now you're whining because you still can't get your way. Why shouldn't he escape if he is fit to do so? It makes perfect sense to me.
Don't like it? Bring the afore-mentioned friend.
Just because you can't figure a way to kill your target, doesn't mean all of Eve should be nerfed until you just have to warp in and press F1-F8 to get your kills.

Meh Ctrl + Q is a bigger problem. I enter local and poof everyone in local is instantly gone.
