I'm sorry but the current way that the modules/ammo/guns/implants/boosters and all are "named" are a complete cluster-F.
I've been playin' this game quite a while and unless you have a stellar memory trying to remember what each name is in regards to what you want is almost impossible.
Having to show info on every single module to find the right one for the right circumstance is a huge time sink. I applaud the renaming... |

I also like the renaming since I also use lots of time looking up info on the modules every time I need to fit a new ship design... Another Idea I had for a future expansion, is the option for combat view from the Bridge of the ships, or even from the guns or similar, maybe even some direct controls of guns or drones, it will make the game more appealing to players who want a more fast paced game. Now I press the word OPTION hugely since it would wreck your current player base if it were a new way of playing...
But thx for a super nice game and I look forward to seeing what the game will develop into in the future :) |

Hi IGÇÖve been playing eve for a long time and IGÇÖm wondering about a few things like the certificates why donGÇÖt you give more focus accesses too it like Only for Corporations view and Only for Alliances so that the player that donGÇÖt want to show the whole eve that he is a noob or an highly skilled player but to only show his corp or alliance so they can place him in a roll that complement his skill set better and then we now have the captainGÇÖs cabin are you going to jump straight in too the stations or are you going to make more rooms like a place (Corp/Alliance Meeting room ) where corp / Alliances members can get together and show off the characters looks and talk strategise? |

And that helps the new player experience how? I get your point, but you shouldn't have to get a degree in eve module naming 101 in order to figure out what modules and other stuff you want to fit to your ship or your Eve character. The current naming schema makes absolutely no logical sense.
I applaud the renaming; it'll cause a lot less confusion for the new players, and for the old players that just want a quicker way to sift through the module lego box.

It's a start, but still doesn't make the storage pins useful on harvest planets (which are PG-constrained). You would also need to cut their PG usage in half.
They'll become moderately useful on factory planets, but I suspect that LPs will still win out because it's 10x easier to use an LP. Especially when you're moving product on/off the planet every day anyway.

/me sends a thesaurus to iceland. A kinetic trauma I get when i drive too fast with bicycle against garage door. a psychological when i sometimes read the patch notes :P . Nova comes from stella nova and describes a nuclear fusion process, ok the explosion might be an result so that is acceptable a bit, but still the word 'new missile' (nova=new) comes to mind lol. |

The new (and old) player needs better interface to help with researching all the different items. Modules and ships have the 'variations' tool to compare item stats, and so should all the other items. That's just for starters.
Part of EVE's draw is its complexity, and that includes the different naming schemes for different item groups. Additionally, some of those names are now part of EVE history. Simplifying the nomenclature leads to creating a blander game in the name of some theoretical "new player" with bad memory and low abstract thinking ability. This is detrimental to the game, especially since that kind of player isn't going to stay long anyway. |

This is just weird. Even "Kinetic" is a better new name for this kind of missile, thought I do understand why it wasn't chosen (though by that logic why change any of the names??). How about using objects that cause kinetic damage to come up with a replacement name? Here's some examples: meteor, arrow, dart, spear, etc. There are enough options out there that you didn't have to chose a name that causes so much psychological trauma through cringing.
Edit: by the way, this is an otherwise an excellent patch that in content and fixes rivals some of the pre-Crucible 'expansions'. So great job! |

2. DD:MM:YYYY It's the way to go. YYYY should be on last place because it doesn't change so often like DD or MM.
