I like the Marauders more than I thought I would, always wanted a T2 Mega, they will be good, strong but not overpowered PvP ships (not bothered about NPCing), cost depending anyway.
Faction BS will become cheaper.

4 mids on the kronos ? Ok ones going to be an AB/MWD and another a webber, so your down to two. Well I suppose it depends on the base cap regen but for Missions, those two mids will probably have to be cap rechargers. Will it have the cap for a decent tank ? Ok you can put in cap booster but then say byebye to your nice big cargo bay.
Hmm, have to wait to see how it plays out config wise. :-/
Plus I assume it's 25mbit for a heavy/sentry, so what happened to the idea of giving a larger drone bay to provide greater flexibility ? Your stuck here with 5 heavy/sentry and no space for a set of lights.

My opinion:
Black Ops ships: Very well balanced. I'm impressed.
Marauders: Amarr gets ******. We get an Apocalypse sendoff with no damage bonus beyond the obligatory one, Gallente gets a 1500+ DPS monster with a damage bonus, tracking bonus, and 5 heavy drones. Not to mention enough fitting to add a dualrep tank and probably energy neutralizers on top of it.

You're forgetting a free double web - you get two webs for the price of one. The T2 Mega is going to be a bloody monster. At least they made them vunerable to ECM - everything else about the ships screams of 'own'.
Oh, btw - does anyone know what the skill reqs of ewar frigs will be?

Eh, the Redeemer is excellent. And so is the Amarr EW frigate. If you want a solopwnmobile battleship with lasers, buy a Nightmare. It's a comparable price and a lot better than the Amarr/Caldari/Minmatar marauders. Not the Gallente one, of course, but you don't get to be overpowered if you don't pick Gallente.

Golem looks weak. Target painter bonus on a near billion shield tanking ship? LOL. Not only that, it gets a shield boost amount bonus instead of resists. . And no damage/RoF, instead it gets explosion velocity. **** that I'll train something else, the Amarr one doesn't look any better either .

Marauders are ok in general and definately step up from tech 1, but in case of mission running (and raven/CNR in particular) Golem does less damage than CNR if I'm not mistaken. Golem has 100% damage bonus and 4 launchers while CNR has 7 launchers with 5% per level RoF bonus (giving overall better damage, while using more ammo).
As I have not tested them in action yet then too early to panic. Perhaps they are actually better in missions thanx to that explocion velocity bonus in addition to good base damage. We will see.

I like the widow at first sight, but it seems counterproductive to give it two missile bonuses since its an ECM ship and won't be running BCUs in those lows anyway.

Yeah, that part sucks, but our ewar ships have the obligatory useless bonus, what do you expect? However, I can live with three bonuses to get the low mass + high speed + 18-20km web ;)

It would seem that CCP was lying when they said T2 BS's wouldn't be the new "pwnmobiles." The T2 Megathron is absolutely ridiculous. It has more effective turrets than the T1 Mega, while at the same time retaining the same slot layout. It also has a web bonus that is somewhat equivalent to a damage bonus based on the target. It can also outtank a hyperion, which is supposed to the the tier 3 tanking BS. On top of that, it has a ridiculous cargo bay that roughly amounts to a setup that will run over two times longer than a T1 mega before capping out, while at the same time using less cap because it's running 4 guns instead of 7.
In any case, I'm getting one. :)

The black ops ships are insane. They're basicly battleship sized stealthbombers, and they can open up a jump portal that can send Stealthships into a system 4 lightyears away . Still. Not solopwnmachines, so that's good.
As for the Paladin. Slightly disappointed, but I guess we have a ship now that can fit the equivalent of 8 Tachyons without giving up all its lows for RCUIIs and caprelays. Mostly I'm disappointed because it's basically a pre-nerfed Kronos (slower, less agile, probably half the firepower, fewer drones and the same slotting). ______________________________________________ -You can never earn my respect, only lose it. The t1 raven has 6 launchers with 25% RoF, that's 33% damage. Factor in reload time and their damage will be about equal.
I suspect few people will use painters on the golem, and will instead let their gangmates do that while running a larger tank and ignore the bonus entirely.

I hope there's a typo in the Golem PG. Sure you can fit some Siege IIs on... just not much else after that. Very rough and most likely inaccurate calculations suggest you'll need 2 RCU IIs to fit a MWD and heavy cap booster as well? Add a XLSB and you might need a third? And what about smartbombs, nos or neuts in the other highslots?

I would assume not on the portals same as it is now, but they should be able to move in empire because they can use regular jump gates.

Gotta agree, Amarr got the slackiest T2 BS. Matari one looks a lot like awesome mission ship (a good thing, something to dilute that CNR domination in this), while Gallente is a horrible PvP machine again - I REALLY doubt anyone will use it as PvE boat.
Lets just HOPE they will adjust those setups before dumping them to TQ.

The Kronos gets 14% more turret DPS than a Megathron, or, to put it another way, the same dps as a Federate issue Megathron.
A Fedathron with 8 neutron II, void,3 Cormack Modified Magstabs and 5 Ogre II's does about 1500 DPS. Therefore a Kronos does about 1500 DPS with that insane multi billion isk setup.
NOT 1800 DPS.
It's not really that much more terrifying.
I feel for the Amarrs though cos the Paladinn does indeed suck balls.

Really? I get 1683 by going into EFT and fitting a Megathron with 4 turrets, dividing by 1.25, then multiplying by 2 and then by 1.25. Then I add 317 for the DPS of 5x Ogre II and I hit 1683 DPS. I admit I guessed at the 1800 DPS, but with 4 Magstabs it hits 1800. You are forgetting your damage implants, if you're going to PvP in a close range 2bil isk gank boat you damn well better have them.

It's official, the devs play Gallente.
I'm thoroughly disapointed in the Golem. The painting bonus will be great to some mission runner who can afford the slots for painters by running a pimped out tank but for pvp, no thanks. I'd rather have an alt tug along in a bellicose.
The Paladin is a big letdown as well, it's like a gimped Kronos with lasers and no damage bonus. Not worth it .

i would rather fly a sniper, instead of a 2bill closerange 1800 DPS ship, and the risk for dying.. remember, when the gall boat is jammed, what do it have left then?

I can see people duel repping that with a med cap injector. The tank is going to be mad, its going to have the tank of a duel rep myrmi. Dps wouldnt be too great but could be an interesting bait ship/bubbler

1615 on a fedathron with 8xNeutron blaster cannon II (void) (equal to the 4x100%s on the Kronos), 5xOgre IIs, 3x Cormack modded MFS, max skills, Lancer G-2 Delta and a Deadeye ZGL 1000. 1597 with CN Antimatter.

Heavy interdictors are cruiser equivalents of the destroyer based interdictors, which combine area of effect warp disruption with the tanking capabilities of Heavy Assault Ships. Rather than using warp disrupt probes, the heavy interdictors use a module, the Warp Disruption Field Generator, which prevents all ships within its range from warping or jumping
Im thinking that if one is deployed on a gate that you wont be able to jump through? Or am I reading this wrong? If this is the case then 0.0 just became a lot more interesting.

T1 BS where allways touted as "not supposed to be a solopwnmobile" then they go and relese T2 BS that are immune to frigs, deal Teir3 BS damage with tanking bonuses and webbing/tracking/hitting small stuff bonuses

Let's wait to test thigns before going mental, I realy don't see the smelabin being that bad.
Rack of Tachyons that work point blank too, thats hell ova versitility. Fast crystal switching and infinate ammo, might not beat DPS of some ships on equal ground but thats biased grounds to compare on.
The potentialy weakest ship I see here would be the Golem, Torps do stupid dmg on test server and with the given bonus's it would be a hellraiser in "effective" dmg, but just doesnt look to have the PG/mass/base speed to pull off a MWD
PvP isn't a duel starting at 10km >:-E3 /join Cheeze & Whine Club

The Golem will suck for missions with only 4 launchers, since the NPCs kill 2 or 3 of your missiles anyway. I wonder if CCP considered that?
And what's with the laser cap use bonus on the Paladin?

Christ,both the paladin and golem are wtf....I mean minmatar and gellente are obviously better at dps,and for what their roles are(appearently ratting)are so much better at it.

abit crap, due to the lack of being able to fit 3 energy neuts with any sort of tank. And oh, to fit everything except 3 energy neuts you're left with 1 rig slot. So the tank will be somewhat lacking
the ~50km AC vargur is somewhat a bigger concern

Great, CCP just made it even harder for new players. They basicly spell certain death for anyone sub-capital that's not fitting a damp or jamming setup (or well, a speed setup could save you aswell, speed is the answer to everything it seems).
On top of it all they made the tech 2 BS pretty much like their little brothers with the same issues, we'll see a whole lot of tech 2 blasterthrons now - that's for sure.

Do we actually know the cap details of the kronos ?
The hyperion has about one of the worst cap regens and struggles to run 2 LAR2. Will the Kronos have similar problems ? Given that it's only got 4 mids and your losing two of them to AB and Web. OK you make up some cap regen on the 7th low if you put in a cap power relay, but still.
As a mission runner I don't want to have to fill that nice big cargo bay with cap boosters just to run the tank.

A cap bonus on a ship with 4 guns? Seriously? You give lasers all the f'ings tracking in the world(including that web bonus) but how about some dps. And that web bonus is decent, but for PVE not much comes within 10KM and for PVP nothing that wants to stay outside 10KM will be caught, especially in these slow boats. Its not a very good bonus in my eyes.
For PVP im cool, both my PVP mains are Gallente but for my carebear who is Amarr I am sad.

What the hell CCP, no damage bonus on the Paladin?
Web bonus and a tracking bonus...Why do I need the extra tracking when my target can't move? Drop the tracking and add a damage bonus, and no rate of fire bull****. Without the Amarr "can use lasers bonus" (or a fix for lasers) the ship effectively has the cap use of 8 lasers while the Kronos has the cap use of 4 hybrids; yeah I am sure that +5% cap bonus will cover the difference.
Kronos effectively has 8 bonused hybrids and a 125 cubic meter drone bay, while the Paladin gets an effective 8 unbonused lasers that cost 2.5 times as much cap and only a 75 cubic meter drone bay. Even if the cap bonus covered this difference the Paladin still loses in damage, and not by just a little.
8 Bonused Neut Blasters with standard ammo and no damage mods: 552dps 5 Ogre IIs: 317dps Total: 869dps
8 Unbonused Mega Pulses with standard ammo and no damage mods: 384dps 5 Hammerhead IIs: 158dps Total: 542dps
The dps on the Kronos is 60% better then the Paladin 60%!
+25% cap will not even begin to make that up. What is the use of this bonus, the extra cap use of the lasers draws more cap then the ship will get as a bonus, so not only does it do much less damage it has to go to greater lenghts to fit a perma-tank (for missions not PvP). In PvP the cap bonus is meaningless since these ships will be running cap boosters anyways. With the way guns work on these ships it can't even mount autocannons to circumvent the cap issues. The Paladin would actually be better off with the -10% to laser cap use bonus. Or better yet, fix lasers, they cost too much cap even on the ships with the cap use bonus.

Why on earth would you fit 1400mm on the Vargur when it has 30km falloff with 800 repeating artillery (45 with barrage)?
In any case, the Webifier bonus on the Paladin is IMHO wasted since it's very much inside the optimal (even with Multifrequency). Switch it out for a damagebonus (5% damage) or a bonus to rate of fire. Those ships are a blessing for the drone region ratter like me. I can now kill two triple BS spawns before moving to a can/pos/outpost with the alloys. As a minnie pilot I approve of the our ship. It's great, not nber sniper capable, is going to have fitting issues with MWD, cap booster and some extender/plates making the usual Tempest still a very viable ship as it has better options for different fitting.
My condolence for the Amarrian slavetraders. That ship is not a vastly improvement over the TI variant

What the hell? That's the most overpowered piece of **** I've ever seen.

i just read the Vargur boni and i'm thinking... i) it has the highest speed of all marauders ii) it gets a bonus to shield boosting iii) extra falloff + tracking iv) big (not the biggest though) cargo bay...
it sounds like it will do what the maelstrom couldn't : be a respectable, fast-ish, close-med range gang BS with a GODLY tank. imagine the non-hardpointed highslots filled with nos/neuts, mwd(or ab, since the autocannons will reach far enough on their own)/active shield tank/booster-ewar-w/e, low-slots filled with dmg mods and/or nanofibers.. i think it's a monster alright.

Personally, I don't have an opinion but I was like "WTF?!?" when I saw the T2 Apocalypse, I was practically praying for a T2 Abaddon. Hopefully as these are not set in stone they will fix these balance issues and bring these ships up to par.

Grid issues? What grid? Still looks like an awesome PvE ship though with that extra mid and the boost bonus. But for PvP? No way, ever, while the Koronos and the Vagur look like PvP beasts.
Status quo once again. Gall/min for PvP. Caldari for PvE and amarr... Meh.
There's little a sledgehammer can't fix. If you can't fix it, you need a bigger sledgehammer. If it's unfixable, blame CCP. :p

Change gollems rubbish bonuses from 10% missile velocity and 10% explosion velocity (wtf) too 5% missile damage and 5% Rate of fire per level and ill be happy.
Also remove the crappy target painter skills, no mission runner is gonna use slots for target painters and change it to a skill which takes 2 defender missiles to take out a cruise.
After running a lot of caldari level 4 missions one of the most anoying things are the defenders taking out cruise missiles. will end up with 1 or 2 missiles hitting on most volleys.
Also please get of your asses and make a salvage class of ship and not incorporate it into a ******* BS
