What is your opinion on what constitutes "wealthy" in the EVE economy?
I myself am clueless as to what the benchmark maybe.
Just curious

Poor = is flying t1 friggies because he doesn't want to earn isk (can't blame him).
Average = running missions to buy ships that are going to get blown up.
Wealthy = have enough isk not to worry about money every time a ship is lost.
Rich = have enough isk that it is more profitable to throw the isk around than run missions.

In my opinion, a wealthy person has enough isk to replace his ships and pay his gametime with isk.
If you can do this, then I think you are doing perfectly fine in the universe of EVE

By that definition I am rich, but I know there are people around who absolutely dwarf my wallet. I have enough to buy what I want so I consider myself rich.

Well, compared to where I was a month ago, I'm wealthy. A month ago I had probably 5-10 mil isk. I'm pushing my way steadily through 200 mil now, but I also know that anybody playing this game longer than me (2 months now) has more money in their wallet than I've ever earned and spent.
Just depends on what you aim for and what you enjoy doing. ____________________

The bum sleeping on the street is destitute.
The person living on welfare in public housing is poor.
The guy working 9 to 5 every day for 30k is a wage slave.
The guy working 9 to 5 every day for 100k a year is a professional.
Shakiel O'Neil is rich.
The person who signs Shakiel O'Neil's check is wealthy.
Any questions?

My standard is that if you pull in at least 1 billion ISK/month with no more effort than maybe a half hour a day on average working at it, you are doing well enough. (And that's pretty much where I'm at at the moment in Eve.)

Hmm so struggling to earn more then 100 mil in my wallet ever is pretty bad then considering I'm about 4-5 months old in the game now. ------------

It depends a lot on style of play. If you have lots of time to spend playing, then you'll always make more ISK with grind-like activities. (mining, ratting, etc) But if not, then try looking at something that can make you a good amount of money while not requiring to spend countless hours playing. Trade is a good place to start, find something you can buy low and sell high, there are lots of opportunities, specially in the trade hubs. If you get good at it, you'll find yourself making billions a month with minimal effort.

Well I did try level 4s but I got my arse handed to me on the first one so I gave that up as a bad job, seems I'm crap at setting up Ravens.
I've tried trade a few times but I've found it just so damn difficult to work out. I never know what to trade with and I almost always end up loosing money or wasting half the day. Plus I hear that most of the time you need a freighter to make it worth while, the most I can move is 3km^3 in my shopping alt's T1 indy. (My main has been naughty and sits in low sec all day trying to find something fun to poke.)
Might try going to null sec again to rat hopefully no one will come into the system till I've finished killing the BS spawns very slowly in my cruiser. ------------

I buy GTCs with my isk, meaning I only have what I need.
Most I have ever had was 900million, and I would consider myself rich at that point, because I really had no use for it as my skills aren't good enough to make buying faction fittings a wise idea.
At the moment I have 440million isk, and I would consider myself wealthy because all I do is sit in station and change skills. Occasionally out of bordom I orbit the outpost at 7kms in my Taranis.

I'd consider myself fairly rich. I have a few faction BS's, a few BS's faction fitted, a few HAC's faction fitted... etc.
Probably about 10 billion ISK in assets. If I have never lost a ship, probably closer to 20 billion :)

My standard for wealth is having atleast 2 variety of each class of ship, including capitals.
Having enough assets/fittings to fit said ships and then some.
Having enough isk to spend on implants etc.
Not mining/ratting/mission running/inventing/building to get it.
Why pay for a game too grind? ;) -

iv been playin several years, i am well off i would say currently, but i pvp alot, and a pvp'ers wallet by normal is lower than that of a mission runner or producer.
I currently have 800mil in wallet and around 15 billion in assets at least.
highest ever single amount in my wallet was just over 4 billion. But i dont have to worry about money for a while as a few months back i bought around 5 bs, 5 recons, 30 intys, several command ships fitted them all with t2 gear.
so for the next few months at least all i have to pay for is the insurance and on the BS scale of things i re gather my money from the insurance and pay for the insurance with loot.
so i will be at a nice level par for the next say 6 months
