THe gate did the whoosh thing and no one left from our side, so someone was incoming. I was going to hit my F1 - F8 shortcuts, and check the overview as my weapons would have been prepped and ready. Of course, during this, I forgot I had already targeted the dominix. Sentrys were firing, and he was firing, and at about 0% shield (and remember, I am shield tank on Caldari ships) I ejected, and took my pod out to a planet, then to 0m from the gate, and spammed the "Jump" option.

All I saw was my Battlecruiser and I glimpsed the gate doing the whoosh thing and thought it was a jump in. And yes...better ways to get PVP action...., at 2.5 million SP, I can't really see myself in 0.0 gang fleet ops, .

Either a caracal or a blackbird. You would be required to get 7 kills solo or as small gang support in belts not gates and even if you died you would start to learn the capability of your ship and the game mechanics. Only then would you be ready for a drake or a raven. Take this advice or not man its all entertaining at this point.

And on your other note hdefunk, If for instance a frigate came through I reckon me and the campers would fire on him and perhaps I would get a mail to say I killed someone. I was also 0m from the gate or so, at least in jumping distance) knowing if domi started firing on me I could jump.

Why didn't you deagress when the domi attked you instead of ejecting?
