Are there any known statistics?

EVE's female population is about 5%, so based on accounts that would be approximately 10,000 ladies. ---------------- Tarminic - 29 Million SP in pink Forum Warfare |

What could we do to make it more appealing to the female audience? (nintendogs aside)

LOL if ambulation is for women, call me a CHIKITA!
I'm stoked for ambulation. It can open a hell of alot of possiblities.
Wouldn't less combat orientated things be more appealing to women? Say designing ships, stations outfits and things?
Although it may come off as sexist, women do tend to be less aggressive (durr lets go blow stuff up, boss) and more constructive (I wanna make it look pretty).
Thoughts?

i have a thought. go meet some more women. they dont mind blowing things up in a game. some find it rather stress relieving. fear the woman at the helm of a megathron.

I know quite a few females in eve. They are all good players. Many I would trust with my life. Hell, we all have clones :)

You're all a bunch of wusses. Who is to say that a female can't be hot, play eve, and love shopping and flowers at the same time?

I obviously play a female avatar in EVE,this however has been the exception not the rule for me in other MMO's I tend to play whatever interests me from a character creation standpoint. My "mood" of course determines allot as well.
I don't make gender assumptions when I converse with other players,I find it rather irrelevant. It is the quality of the player that I care about

maybe, but if they were hot why would they advertise that they were female in eve? they can probably get all the attention they want from a far less creepy source than internet spaceship sausagefest land
