The Japanese Central banks starting to do some interesting things from what I've heard, is there any risk of hyperinflation if it fails?... Though it seems the West is having a few issues with its economy...

Considering they want a 2% interest rate not much. Its more people who have no idea about economies work, or use the blogs of crazy people who can make a good youtube video as "fact".
And Japan suffers from a horrible lack of imagination and a massively emasculated younger generation who are ruled over by old foggies who just will not retire / die. This is hampering development.
However this does open the window to dynamic groups such as the firm i work for to expand and bring in their investment since we can see the issues that those inside cannot.

Nice work, and I was always curious as to why Japan still used fax machines so much....
I honestly went through a bit of a Japan worship phase in my mid teens till I cottoned on to the state of things. Seems to be similar acts of self destruction in potential in Europe these days. France refuses to acknowledge Cheap labour abroad exists and bloody UKIP nearly got 25% of the vote in council elections today. They didn't have it concentrated enough though but still 78 council seats when they had 1 a few days ago....
Advice I've been given here seems to be look to America, Canada and Australia for work... Isn't Japan rebuilding after Fukushima in some areas?

Those areas were back up and running within a couple of months after the quake. Although parts of Sendai are still a construction site as far as i know. Which when you consider the Christchurch earthquake happened earlier and is still a gaping wound that says a lot of about Japanese efficiency. the coastal zones are still unpopulated though but are not going back to nature. Could be wrong though.
And cheap labour can be a waste of time if the quality of product is not up to scratch.
Consider this, this is a case study we did for one company which is in japan but i shall not name for legal reasons.
They were buying copper sheet from another japanese company that moved its production to another location in asia. The quality of the sheet dropped, though construction cost also dropped but failure rate of the manufactured end product increased by a factor of nearly 90x. The cost / benefit analysis was so bad that it was cheaper to use skilled japanese labour than cheaper unskilled labour.
If you want high quality manufacturing, with very sensitive materials / parts which need a high degree of uniformity or perfect, manufacture it in Europe / Japan or America.
The UK can rebuild its manufacturing base but has to shift to high end precision work, which is impossible as there arent enough quality engineers and so many areas have been depressed since heavy industry left. You cant just shoot the people, but a strong defeatist attitude persists.
And unless you're a miner / oil worker / industrial truck driver / welder or have some other heavy industrial skills forget America (who have enough unemployed as it is) and Canada and Australia which are being kept afloat by their oil / mining industries respectively.
White collar jobs are devaluing fast. Want to make money? Go do what men our grandfathers age did and you'll be rolling in it. "I think you should buy a new Mayan calendar. Mine has muscle cars on it." --áKenneth O'Hara

Depressing, though it won't take much for me to out earn my parents if you know what I mean.
Doing Civil Engineering for my Undergrad, looking at Structural for masters. Lots of Industrial applications from Naval architecture to Brisges and Skyscrapers with it, also mining and Fracking/Oil Lines. At the part where I'm planning a few years in advance and if HS2 gets cancelled in the UK then its Aberdeen or bust with regards to the UK, demand went off a cliff in 09 as contracts expired for buildings already on the books.
Might stick on with Academia till the recession ends, always wanted a Sonic screwdriver... interesting stuff being done with Carbon Nanotubes.
And with regards to France, the retirement age is 62 and mass protests whenever this is attempted to be raised. With hightened taxes the wealthy are moving to Belgium to get out from the 75% income tax rate. There was an American tyre company has issued with a French plant as they work for fewer hours for more pay.
