The game at that point has become a lie, a farce.
Goonswarm is just part to seek attention from new players, forgetting that it also brings a certain type of player pulling everything out of balance.
Specially when you start killing each and every initiative that has a potential to bring the balance back to another mindset.
I think they have forgotten that the largest player base is outside goonswarm, not even going into the potential playerbase.
At the same time I will easily admit that it was propaganda as well.
With the single goal top retain balance, give players that also think your douchebags have something else to look at, so it stays interesting for many more people.
But no, your shortsightedness didnt see that.
You could not see past your own little self that it might have been bebeficial for Goonswarm as well in the long run to have these opposing forces.

I was really really disappointed and still am a bit.
I will try to explain why.

I meant what I said about not minding arshattery at all.
I laughed at many Goonswarm actions, seriously, upto tears rolling down my cheecks of laughter.
I do not want Goonswarm to play differently or anyone playing the way I want to.
On the contrary, I would not have touched the game ever again after the first trial about 3 Years ago if the fact every game style interferes with one and other was being wasted by all doing the same thing.
I do have trouble with inconsistent moderation under the civil banner.
The thread today made many people go out of line, I seriously tried to bring it back to sheer arshattery.
It should have been cleaned from personal insults, not locked IMO.
I am also not saying that I never go out of line. Sometimes it takes a certain response to be reminded that it is always in the eye of the beholder.
Why was my disappointment so strong today?
Well, I love EvE and its community.
So much so, that the first year I only spent on and of in EvE and was studying each and every little detail I could soak up.
This was simply because I could see this is not just any game. And truth be told, I am a ambitious fokker and when someone tells me it cant be done, I go do it. I like it when things are not easy at all.
So I set myself a goal:
Without help I wanted to start my own corporation specialising in events and create another corp in which I wanted to recruit at a certain point. This other corporation would than be used as a adventure. Just take in new players and discover (theory in head just little practice) EvE as we go. This would create extra challenge. It would also allow for maybe finding new ways to do things. (One might be reinventing the wheel at some point, but this is IMO how new ways are coming into existence)
Another reason behind this is, I seen that IMO the picture of EvE gameplay that radiated outwards was one that was rather onesided. I have been trying multiple times do give different aspects a face also.
For example, Ive tried to set up a counter for Hulkageddon (hillbillageddon), run for CSM 7 ...ON AN ALT....
And now trying to rally up the younger corporations to form a resistance.
Not because I really want to see Goonswarm go, although I wouldnt mind shooting you
Anyways, the past 2 years I have been much more activly playing, Build up the corporation structures, build up the income to be able to fund it all and actually started bookmarking out pieces of null-sec, amongst which De Klein.
I did have some help from RL friends, but they play less and less since of time constraints and not placing EvE in their "hobby" portfolio I guess. They admit they are probably more a Quick game of something player than EvE.
Though they too are really amazed what a game can be.
So this made it very disappointing that a valid effort was derailed by insults.
(I hope you do agree some of the things where out of line, nothing to do with being uptight or not....I think)
And like said, this happened almost every time.
Not derailed by arshattery but by being rude in an overwhelming majority becaise of the sheer number of people you can send in.
You know, it really hurts goonswarm and EvE there are some guys out there that DO take it that one step to far.
If you than see a ISD, at that moment in my eyes, and also happened before, "choosing" sides or atleast seem that way because of the felt disappointment......that was at the point that kind of hit hard.
Since Im trying to give and not just take.
It felt injust.
I felt it was needed to show people there are more ways to EvE gameplay.
Thats it.

Weed, or better, biologically grown weed is said to be medicinal in cases of astma.
At the end of the day, any opinion is for sale out there and you do notice over time that you have "less air".
But your question is interesting because personally I always felt rolled tobacco is a lot more pure and seems to hinder a lot less compared to cigarettes.
