That's what I read. And I think I read it before internet era, a time when written words were always true.
The problem with German is the lack of rules, there are so many exceptions that you can hardly find any consistent rules, too many words have their own declinations or conjugations. Speaking it in a "Me Tarzan You Jane" kind of way (like I probably sound speaking English) might be easy, but even most of the non-ret@rded native speakers here struggle with the grammar occasionally, even me.

We have always been told that German got many rules, but few exceptions. Unlike English which is pretty much a mess. We will never forget you Saede!

Wrong. Germany has many rules. Our language does not.

Depends on teacher. To be honest i cheated in German. I was like wait there are exceptions? Wait....wait... i can use modal verbs like d++rfen, k+¦nnen, m+¦gen, m++ssen, sollen, wollen for pretty much everything and seem like i know German? Made it through German V which was a miracle. Since i can hardly spell in English/Spanish, let alone German.
Those and throw in a few other verbs that are common and you can talk like a realllllllly reallllly smart 5th grader. LAGL Updated 9/25/13 Ze Goggles

Maybe you are right. You don't learn your native tongue by rules, but by habituation, so my view of those rules may be a little skewed. But every time an exchange student or postgraduate asks me something about our language it usually has the same result. After giving it a little thought, I reply "Well, you are right, that doesn't make sense at all. But that's how you say it." Try Hebrew with its damn gender words.

Because you read Hebrew the other way around, from right to left. That alone makes it pretty gay already

I actually like the sound of Hebrew, sounds somewhat Tollkienish to me, like an ancient Elbic dialect or something like that.

Just exactly what were you trying to accomplish with that shenanigan anyway?
You do know it doesn't reduce the amount of posts permitted on the page and all it does is overwork our scroll wheels.
