My experience with printers, from the early ones to the color laser printers at my last job, is that printing is still oddly the one weak point in computer hardware design and function.
It's still like trying to print using ancient Victorian technology (actual gears, and ill-fitting ink capsules, paper jamming, etc, etc.) Sometimes it's surprising these printers are not steam driven too. @hybridscores It's just not a novel that has anything going for it cinematically. It's not that kind of thing.

Wow. Weirdly a recent movie with Russell Crowe I've never even heard of. Musta been really really bad.
I've only shut off 2 films. Michael Cimino's "Year of the Dragon". The production was already so detailed and controlled the film itself becomes boring and tedious as Cimono has his camera linger on long shots of Chinatown (NYC). Then for no reason Mickey Rourke starts giving his wife a physical pummeling in the laundry room.......for no purpose to the story at all. That was it for me.
2nd was Scorcese's "Goodfellas", with it's near record use at the time of the f-word. Even the worst of the worst gangsters and drug dealers and ex-members of freaking San Quentin, all of which I knew in those rehabs, do not talk like that at all. Certainly not to that degree. It just killed the believability for me, and became too annoying to continue the film. Oh goodness. Can't title a movie this nowadays (I can't type it here).
Found this while looking up info on movies based on Agatha Christie's "10 Little Indians" as it was on PBS.
This is what followed:
And Then There Were None (1945)
Ten Little ******* (1949)
Ten Little Indians (TV Movie 1959)
Agatha Christie's 'Ten Little Indians' (1965)
Ten Little Indians (1974)
Ten Little Indians (1981)
Ten Little Indians (1989)
Wow. Remake nonsense is nothing new. Absolutely none of these was particularly successful either. Ever. Yet they kept going and going and going........

Was reading TV Guide's article about the Star Wars casting and came across this astonishing sentence:
"John Williams, who scored the first three films, but not the more recent prequels, will return for Episode VII."
The forum discussion on the article is pretty much about this egregious error (and the death of true journalism anymore), an error it turns out that was made on another site entirely (probably deliberately) and just cut and pasted at TV Guide.
They should be hearing from a lawyer tomorrow morning I would imagine.

More like - "absolutely pillage 3rd world countries until cheap Eastern labour causes massive economic decline in the West." - followed by enormous sacrifices by the lowest earning people in said Western economies. But at least the shareholders get paid huh?
Not that Fox would mention that.
