One thing I noticed about the Golden Globes....
There has been a lot of press this past year about the lack of progress for women as CEO's, the strange dearth of descent acting roles, etc etc. Much press about this from all kinds of angles including nasty things said about high heels on female CEO's and other such petty nonsense.
Honestly, last night at the Globes.....the women. The young actresses. Oh my.
These girls are not doing "their kind" any kind of service at all, publicly, to debunk this attitude.
Absolutely everyone of them, from Jennifer Lawrence, to Amy Adams..........every one of them upon winning just absolutely loses it. Panicked, unable to speak, giggly, crying..............absolute petrified terror on one case. None were able to give a descent speech.
I expected Jennifer Lawrence to collapse to the floor with "the vapors" or something. I mean really. What are these crazy, brain stopping, emotional panics when having to accept an award and give a speech (which not one could even attempt). It's seriously 19th Century "weak, feminine behavior".
The older winners like Meryl, etc. just get up there as normal and proceed, but these young, intelligent actresses just completely fall apart in the most embarrassing ways.
I just don't remember this happening especially to this degree until the past few years or so.
I just find it to be a real disservice to the advancement of women's progress. "He has mounted his hind-legs, and blown crass vapidities through the bowel of his neck."-á - Ambrose Bierce on Oscar Wilde's Lecture in San Francisco 1882 |

Gawd I hope I didn't forget to actually redeem the New Years gift items. That's pretty sad to think about doing it, log into the game to do it and then not actually do it.
Don't get me wrong, I love getting free stuff from CCP. Now if this is indeed some more new stuff then woohoo, \o/
If not then boohoo, /o\
All I know is right now I've got about 1/2 dozen Festival Launchers.
DMC
I've got a load of launchers too, so it's not just you. i did wonder if getting so many was intentional though...... I was wondering this myself. First thing i thought was eve's birthday, but it's not for months..
I can also confirm that they gave extra out to everyone...I redeem my new years gift items and I also got the second lot of fireworks/launcher

Yeah. That one was one of the few shining lights of that genre. And it was the first time we saw Sally Field as not the Flying Nun.

No one could get away with that nowadays. What a classic! Burt Reynolds. In his prime, he was awesome. Kitschy, but awesome! Jerry Reed. Consumate redneck but likeable. Sang some fun songs. Sally Fields. Young and extremely good looking. Plus, a little devilish. Great counterpoint.

Domineren wrote:Ghost of Onyx is a good book. However, try as i must, other than that book there is no reference to those 3. I also base most ship names off of that series except of the medication ships that i made when i was terribad sick. probably be linda...best sniper or tom/lucy, the survivors
OMG Linda, is hands down my favorite. The fact that she can die and come back + her loner tag. Plus, the books give off this weird vibe that kelly and john could be a thing, but Linda and john have a slightly better covert thing going down. That and Linda kinda just chills and doesn't seem to care if she is left behind.
Lucy, just because she can't talk, but trys so hard for Kurt. That part was pretty feels for me. For some reason try as i might i could not get attached to Fred, even though save for Kelly, he is one of the most referenced Spartans outside John.
Domineren, i actually would enjoy a talk about the books/chars since i have one else to talk about them with. http://evelagl.blogspot.com/2013/10/october-update.html-á 10/31/13 LAGL update [click October update] http://i.imgur.com/RZXuYb9.jpg |

Kate, atm i am debating some T1 amarr cruisers to take into the lower side of WH. Would you think a Kite Omen, or a tanky maller would be better? Or a Stabber?[i know not amarr] I plan on having a scan ship and one of the above. Since i heard sleepers hate drones, i figured to not use ships dependent on those.
I can fly any T1 cruiser. Just like amarr is all.
Anyone can give me tips, since i am a WH noob. http://evelagl.blogspot.com/2013/10/october-update.html-á 10/31/13 LAGL update [click October update] http://i.imgur.com/RZXuYb9.jpg |

I had called an alignpoint but I burned in a complete different direction. So when I called targets and they didn't follow those targets I got a bit mad. Only to realize that they were far away from me and only did the right thing.
