the company wifi password hasn't changed in the 3 years i've been here. it's been the same thing for longer than that.
no one but me can ever remember it. and it's not exactly complicated. it's one word, all in caps. no numbers, symbols or anything.
oh and the passwords for all of the machines is 'password'

I always find it funny how lots of people can't even remember their email password. I cant tell you how many times I have worked on a computer and reformat/upgrade windows which deletes all the auto saved passwords. And then they get upset because they don't have their passwords autosaved anymore for all the websites they visit.
Also setting up POP email accounts that are provided by their ISP's in Thunderbird and Outlook is the work of Satan himself. These ISPs don't even have IMAP service available.
The last one absolutely refused to work so I told them they are just gonna have to access their email from their browser.

Sitting here in the OR breakroom...I'm shocked sometimes that soap operas are actually a thing. And that these older women seem to legit enjoy them. Few times are the generation gaps in the workforce more apparent than in the breakroom. The two of we younger women have our faces buried in our phones. The middle aged majority are avidly watching the show. And our lone ancient fossil is just chewing on her celery sticks and flipping through the newspaper.

In other news, there was a creepy spider running RUNNING across my floor last night right before I was about to fall asleep. I'm extremely arachnophobic so, I had to locate someone to come destroy the demon spider for me(I'm a 32yr old man who can't kill spiders lol) and then THEN I spent the next 6 or so hours moving everything in my bedroom around, or out so I could make sure there were no other spiders hiding somewhere waiting for me to go to sleep. They are out to get me...I know it.
Before I became disabled I used to have my own apartment and there was a spider right in the middle of the living room just sitting there...nobody around for me to enlist the aid of since I lived alone. So I decided to throw my shoe at him as hard as I could, because surely a spider wont withstand such an impact.
I hit him, right on top of the bastard but my shoe went flying like the spider simply deflected it with one of his eight horrid appendages. Slightly concerned at this point in time I look for my other shoe to throw, I can't retrieve the one I previously tossed because demon spider now blocks my path. So as I am about to throw the next shoe, he just outright sprints directly at me. It chased me down! This tiny horribly little monster chased me...and I ran lol. I ran and locked myself in the bathroom and put a towel at the bottom of the door so he couldn't get in and I waited for help to arrive lol.
Did we find the spider and kill it? No....so I moved out lol
I don't like that my phobia's control my life so drastically, but it's amusing to look back at that situation now and laugh. Alright...enough babbling, hope you're all having a wonderful day fellow LAGL's :) |

Heh..that made me laugh IRL, even though I have arachnophobia myself.
But Ihave learned to compensate it pretty good already.
Most important thing was to learn everything I could about my enemies. I feel like a friggin D&D ranger with favoured enemy: spiders now. I know which kind makes which webs and spot traces of those webs quickly when I enter a room. If you know what's around you are no longer caught by surprise, makes it a lot easier to deal with the situation.
Also having a very playful and slightly sadistic cat helps with these eight-legged freaks.
