My POS, while having all the necessary arrays and labs, also has a fair amount of jammers, damps, neuts, etc.

If I get war dec'd, I just pull down my arrays and labs and turn on the dickstar defense. When the dec is over, I bring it all back. You get 24 hours on a war dec so plenty of time to swap stuff out.
edit: Skills required for starbase defense have lightened up. Laud CAN POS gun.

You see, pulling down your POS, securing your assets and docking up is all fine, but it's just not the Zimmy wayGäó of handling those situations.
