Some of us dissociate quite a bit from our characters, especially people who grew up roleplaying. I'm actually an incredibly quiet, incredibly grumpy jerkbag IRL. It's actually nice to be able to get away from it. :3

Though it's true I certainly do prefer to play female characters and always have. I can relate a lot with one of my favorite digital artists, Michael Oswald, who when asked why he'd only ever made female characters answered; "Between the two sexes, it is the one that I can really see the beauty of humanity in. The majority of my work includes a deep, emotional concept and I think that is best expressed through a female character."
I'm not very good at drawing, but I love to write, roleplay and attempt digital arts and can empathise with his philosophy 100%.
