First, a joke:

Second, my dream from last night (feel free to skip to the bottom if the surrealistic ramblings of the unconscious mind don't appeal to you):
The beginnings of the dream have faded, but open the scene on me driving north on the expressway, naturally exceeding the posted speed limit. I come up on the toll plaza and aim to take my car through the EZ Tag lane where one doesn't stop. For some reason the lights at that end of the plaza are out and I do not see the tow truck stopped in the lane until it's too late. I'm able to brake soon and hard enough that I just barely bump the back end of the tow truck. I kick myself mentally knowing that, had I been driving the legal speed, I could have stopped in time. The tow truck moves forward and angles to the left to pull out of traffic. I come through the plaza and look to do the same, only now we're not in cars, we're just walking. The driver of the tow truck doesn't appear to realize I was the one that hit him, as he's looking at someone else, and starts to go after the guy when he doesn't stop. Being the responsible person I am, I let him know that I was the one that hit him and we walk over toward a small retaining wall. I start to pull out my wallet to get my insurance info, but he says there's no flat place to lay out anything for writing on, he suggests we hop the 3' high wall and look for a place. We end up also climbing over a 6' high concrete block wall and now we're on a sidewalk of a nearby surface street. We walk north about a block to an intersection, and there's his tow truck parked at the corner. I park my car behind his truck and get out to talk to him some more. But the tow truck I'm parked behind is not his, it's different now. I look and see his truck about a block to the east down the side street. So I walk down the sidewalk, not noticing the expressway is gone, and park my car behind his tow truck.
As I'm about to get out of my car I notice a woman peeking her head over a wall about 20 yards ahead of me and it looks like she's holding something: a phone, camera, binoculars... not sure what. Her head disappears back below the wall, but I notice it pop up again a few times as I get out of the car and walk back to the tow truck parked behind me. She appears to be looking in my direction and I start to wonder if there's some sort of scam going on. As I get to the back of my car I see the tow truck is gone. I look around and can't see it anywhere. I do notice a few more women peeking over the wall. Three at least. I decide to confront them about this, knowing now for sure I'm getting scammed somehow. I decide to go across the street and up a block, then come back and surprise them from the other direction.
As I come back down the road I can hear several conversations from over the wall and I see the three women looking over the wall like they're confused where I went. When I speak to them they all startle. I realize the wall isn't as tall as it looked but the ground on the other side is lower, so they're having to stand on chairs to look over the wall. The wall surround a garden of some kind attached to a brick office building. The ladies are on their lunch break and their boss is very strict, not letting them even have a radio at their desks, so during their lunch break they take turns peeking over the wall at an out door cinema screen they can see across the street. I can't tell what movie's playing but they invite me to join them for lunch so I hop the fence.
I tell them about the tow truck driver disappearing and they all think that's strange. A few more people, including a young couple from Tennessee are invited over the wall. All the ladies think the young lady from Tennessee is dumb as rocks, rolling their eyes at all the silly, naive things she says. Lunch lasts until the end of the day, apparently as suddenly everyone's leaving. I walk a few of the ladies out to a bus near where my car is parked and one of the ladies asks the group the joke I listed at the top of this post. The young lady from Tennessee has apparently heard the joke before and finds it very funny, she starts to giggle loudly as soon as she hears it asked, So loudly in fact that when the lady gives the answer to the joke, I don't hear it. Then they're all on the bus and it leaves.
I notice the tow truck is back and he's trying to tow my car. I take out my phone to take a picture of his plate and the business name on the side of the truck but when I look at my phone to aim the camera, it's not a tow truck, it's a UHaul rental truck. One of the women from the office building comes over and asks him why he's trying to tow her car and he says "this isn't a tow truck lady" and he looks and winks at me, like it's a joke. I look around and see the other, first tow truck I parked behind, and figure I'll take a picture of it, but when I do, it also turns into a UHaul truck. I look at the dude from Tennessee and tell him what's going on with the tow trucks turning into UHaul trucks, and he smiles and says "wow, that kinda stuff only happens in dreams."
At which point I woke up to my alarm going off.

So, somebody help me, come up with a funny punchline for the joke I missed in my dream?
