So I had some ideas for rebalancing shields vs armour. the current state of both tanking layers, whether active or passive, seems to be a bit of a mess to be.
On the shield side:
- Shield Compensation: either 4 or 5 percent per level instead of 2 percent, to to make non-ancillary shield boosters more viable in a shield&cap booster combo.
- Add Passive Adaptive Shield Resistance Amplifiers
- Add Extra Large Shield Extenders to be on par with 1600mm Armour Plates.
- Adjust Shield Boosters' Shield Boosting amount to that of the size above it and remove Extra Large Shield Boosters, resulting in Small Shield Boosters having the Shield Boost amount of Medium Shield Boosters and the same for Medium to Large and Large to Extra Large.
On the armour side:
- Add a bonus of 5% reduced capacitor consumption per level to compensate for the increased capacitor usage per second when training the skill up.
- Upgrade Armour Repairers by adjusting cycle time, capacitor consumption and repair amount to be close to their Shield equivalent.
Please provide opinions, even by evemail. I want to build a proper post for F&I with suggestions for shield and armour rebalancing.

Tanking is fine.
The problem is the "holy trinity" being all mid slot modules with no alternatives. Armor is king because the mass/agility penalties of plates and rigs are meaningless compared to giving up mid slots.
