An AF takes about 18 hours to produce- unless you have a huge stash of components and queue a lot of production jobs, that means it effectively takes 24 hours per AF- since I'm not willing to get up in the middle of the night just to start a new production job.
So with my skills, I can produce 10 AFs per day...that's 10 mil profit per day, probably less than a single Level 3 mission, and yet more risky and time consuming (market fluctuations in Jita and the need to constantly update your market orders).
My pessimistic estimation is that the EVE economy is reaching some kind of WoW dysfunctionality, where raw materials have the highest market value and finished products are worth less than the materials they were built off.

I don't know how wow is really, apart from doing my 4 month tour years ago hehe, but I did max all the classes and all the professions in GW2 (it's first year - a modern mmo - I played GW1 from launch too), and that's EXActly how it is now. Material cost is way out of line with production. I mean I could go out and gather all these resources, but it's better profit to sell the resources than to make anything, anything at all. I never saw that problem in old-school mmo's, but anything new or modern is pretty wrecked it seems. I could say a lot on that, but eh sparing LAGL hah.
But hey, if you got the skill, it's always a good thing to be self-sufficient and make your own equipment if anything, or some of it, I get that.

To be fair, this is low-tier, newer players, etc. It's also a bit counter-intuitive to people know who things about naval combat, which I assume I who'd be interested in this game in the first place. IRL it was advantageous to present your broadside to an enemy's bow/stern, "crossing the T," if you will. In WoWs presenting your broadside is the fastest way to get yourself killed, because the guns' dispersion patterns tend to make the inaccuracy along the traverse axis rather than elevation, whereas IRL it was the opposite.

In WoT for the first few years in highter tiers you could find more skilled players, but later, when all those bad players finally got their top tier tanks, and on the way there, did not learn anything, the matches became the same as on lower tier. I think its going to look like this with WoWS (I just cant call it WoW I played the real and only WoW for several years :-D )

Oh! I didn't mean to sound like I was arguing. Just giving these guys the benefit of the doubt, I guess. I've been watching some streams, and the play gets...well, a little better at higher tiers. People at least learning the quirks of the game even if they don't grasp the greater tactical implications, like learning when to use AP shells over HE.
Drive safely! Or don't get pissed on by a hobo on public transport! Or run over by a car cycling/walking!
I think that covers most of the possible ways of getting home.
