I have the same issue. Here is the Windows Event Viewer message I received when the client crashed in the middle of a fight the other night. I lost a very expensive fitted Nighthawk, go go gadget blue.dll FTL. I looked 30 days back, the game has crashed with this exact error message 15 times. I will be posting every fing time this occurs going forward to assist CCP in motivating a fix for the issue.

I hate to be pushy but I'd really like to see some CCP responses on this issue, whether they're even aware of it or not. I can't help but believe they are, but some sort of acknowledgement would be nice.
It's the least we can ask for.

OK, we are looking into this.
One question for you all ... are you submitting the bug reports via the Microsoft error submission system?
I ask because we have actually signed up to this now and have access to it and the extra information that Microsoft can provide looking into the processes.
If you submit a bug report please post it's ID in this thread and we will see that it gets linked to the correct defect. Any log files that you can capture on this would also be most appreciated.
Cheers.

NOT A POSSIBLE FIX: I'm still testing this but have not had a crash in 20-30 jumps (crash would happen every 5-6)
Disable Eve Voice in the Options Screen / Audio tab
(note I was not using Eve Voice in game it was only enabled in settings)
Edit: Seems to lengthen time between crashes but still not fixed .

I'd like to enable error reporting for eve, but this causes my HDD to fill up with 400MB crash dump files from an issue I occasionally experience when exiting the game. My research services Spreadsheets: Top speed calculation - Halo Implant stats |

I have the same problem but i found that setting my cache size to low (i have 2gb memory) and running the client in fullscreen mode possibly fixes this problem (haven't had a crash yet but can't guarantee anything of course). It also happens only when premium graphics are enabled, in classic mode the client is stable as a rock. -----
Originally by: Zhulik I thought Premium graphics were supposed to fix that bug where people were trying to salvage Minmatar ships.

Enhancing swap file also helps. I left my client logged for like whole night and crashed after 10 hours. Then i logged again and i've been crashing after 5 ... minutes ... it's getting too random and cause of it we really can't do anything in eve without risking our ships, pods, implants ...

Edited by: Abbadon on 26/01/2008 20:33:03 Update on my 3 Blue.dll bug reports:
I included logserver capture, screenshot and dxdiag and buhunters want the *.dmp file that is created when Eve crashes. However I dont seem to have any either in main Eve directory structure or in My Docs\Eve directory structure.
Are you guys getting any dmp files created? .

i donot know about that defect.
About that dmp files. You only get them when the client crashes to desktop or the sytem has blue screen of death and freezes. In our case we can't have dmp files, although ... sometimes the problem is with freezing.
I'd like to ask you guys, the ones who get blue error. Are you on vista or xp ? 'Cause i've been having only _trinity.dll ones.

Edited by: Immortal Warrior on 27/01/2008 12:10:47 Same problem. My client crashes after random time, no matter if i fight, travel or just sit in a station. I recieve windows note about exefile.exe and trinity.dll error. Strange is, that after trinity patch i hadnt problems for about two weeks and than crashes appeared...
I use premium graphic, win XP, Athlon 3000+, GeForce7800GT, 2GB ram, Raid 320gb, kis 7.0...
For about 1,5 month I tryed windows reinstalation with all old/new drivers, direct update, client reinstal., change graphic card settings and nothing helps.... In game I can only change skils - sometimes crash is after 0,5-1h but sometimes after 5min.....

Aye .. it means that i was the first one after all to bug report this. I guess that if you're running classic graphic content you get only _trinity.dll errors and blue.dll and more when you're running premium graphic content. Sad, but true. Asked a GM if there is any progress, still haven't received a reply. In the meantime i petitioned my ship loss 'cause of this bug. I suggest that you do the same about your nighthawk.
What's more. I think that we should receive something extra 'cause we're not able to play the game normally for the whole month now ...

Actually after testing a few different settings I can claim with great confidence that running the game in full-screen mode rather than window has fixed this problem for me. Everyone who has these crashes should try that. -----
Originally by: Zhulik I thought Premium graphics were supposed to fix that bug where people were trying to salvage Minmatar ships.
