One of the huge sadnesses about this 'Great War' is that it could and should have been the greatest, most compelling battle that Eve has EVER seen. Your allies have more than enough firepower and numbers to win the battle and tbqh your playstyle is hindering rather than helping your cause. I know that I can sometimes be a controvertial figure (due to my attempts to clean up the forums) and at times I, too, have been guilty of getting overheated on what should be a mature, informative and (at times) amusing addition to our experience of this game. But the odd bit of baiting and ridicule on my part is nothing compared to the juvenile postings, personal attacks, threadnoughts, metagaming and deliberate attempts to aggrevate non-RSF players by references to R/L occurences have SURELY got to stop. That's why I'm making this open appeal to Goonfleet leadership to FINALLY take action and be accountable for the actions of their members. This has nothing to do with who is fighting who - I think everyone is loving the pew pew - but it's to do with maturity, respect, and - ultimately - making the game a better place for us all. And that's why I'm making this ultimatum to *Gloomswarm. Please, in all sincerity, clean up your act and we can make this game a better place, and this war the greatest clash an MMO has ever seen. And if you're wondering, dear Goon leadership, what's in it for you I'll be blunt.* If you don't sort yourselves out I'm going to switch to become a Goon fanboi. Just imagine the horror of seeing Windypops posting on your behalf, day in, day out. Serously. Just imagine it... (PS - I'd also welcome a war dec from Goonfleet. I know those who don't agree with what I say LOVE to call me an alt, but I think you'll find I'm really rather active in game...) C'mon - enough of the F-U, more of the Pew Pew!! who the heck is gloomswarm?

As someone who has signed up to Eve for the long haul I donÆt really fancy arriving at a point in end-game play where the most interesting part of Eve is watching a frozen session loading screen for 10 minutes only to eventually load up in a new clone a dozen systems away.

Seconding this. The game lets us deploy an unlimited number of people in the game, so it's far from an exploitive tactic, and more that the game was poorly designed. Most games take into account the fact that you can only send and receive so much data without crashing; 64 player limits on most FPS games, Planetside had a population cap on each continent, Pirates of the Burning Sea allows only so many to be in a single fight at a time, so on and so forth. But CCP seems to have forgone common sense to help provide a unique game experience, and now they are paying for it as the servers cannot handle what is happening. They further agitate the issue by providing ships which can destroy entire fleets, ships which can deploy several times their number of new entities which now have to be tracked, and ships which take an impressive fleet of non capital ships to destroy. So the issue really isn't one of what tactics we use, it's one of an attempt at a unique game design that wasn't thought through fully collapsing in on itself.

Seriously you are out of noobships an hour into this game tops, a lot less if you make a combat character. And if you are really noob then at that point you are still trying to figure out what is going on, not joining a 0.0 alliance and going to kill titans/dreads/pos' whatever. When the noobships in question are unfitted apart from a civi railgun then u gotta say they shouldn't be there personally i have only seen noobships deliberately used in combat by the coalition on one occaission (and the node crash may have cost them a titan kill on that occaission so lol)so i think people bang on about it a bit much.
