The Goon in-game doctrine of sending as many players as they can muster into a single system is also having an effect. Although if said players were all in decent pvp ships ie not Incursus' or comedy fitted Megathrons their effect would be more constructive to the RSF campaign. Although I would imagine at some point RA and the more combat aware alliances will highlight the fact to the Goon leadership that the actions of some of the Goon members are hindering the overall RSF objective by generating excessive lag and preventing the more capable pvp pilots from jumping into a system and successfully engaging. That being said i'm sure every Goon member wants a piece of the Delve action and rightly so but they need to consider if their ship is really gonna make a difference in an already lagged out system or would it be better continue the fight in another system away from the lag fest areas. However the swarm mentallity will probably prevent this from happening as most Goons only wanna be one place right now and that's the NOL area. After a sustained attack on a T2 fitted sniping mega by disguntled janitors with CCP special issue nerf bats this unique set up resulted. http://www.killboard.net/details/235754/

Yet rather than being a fascinating clash that once again confirms Eve as, in my view, the greatest online game by miles it's in danger of becoming 'epic' for all the wrong reasons. Goonfleet have the potential to be an awesome power within Eve, and I'm sure they've got some decent pilots in there, even if they're rarely given the chance to fight effectively and they've sure as hell got the numbers. But the incessant use of noobships and other 'irrelevant' ships simply to create such ridiculous lag that tactics become impossible is ruining what could be some awesome fights. Your allies have more than enough firepower and numbers to win the battle and tbqh your playstyle is hindering rather than helping your cause. I know that I can sometimes be a controvertial figure (due to my attempts to clean up the forums) and at times I, too, have been guilty of getting overheated on what should be a mature, informative and (at times) amusing addition to our experience of this game. But the odd bit of baiting and ridicule on my part is nothing compared to the juvenile postings, personal attacks, threadnoughts, metagaming and deliberate attempts to aggrevate non-RSF players by references to R/L occurences have SURELY got to stop. That's why I'm making this open appeal to Goonfleet leadership to FINALLY take action and be accountable for the actions of their members. This has nothing to do with who is fighting who - I think everyone is loving the pew pew - but it's to do with maturity, respect, and - ultimately - making the game a better place for us all. And that's why I'm making this ultimatum to Gloomswarm. Please, in all sincerity, clean up your act and we can make this game a better place, and this war the greatest clash an MMO has ever seen. And if you're wondering, dear Goon leadership, what's in it for you I'll be blunt. If you don't sort yourselves out I'm going to switch to become a Goon fanboi. Just imagine the horror of seeing Windypops posting on your behalf, day in, day out. Serously. Just imagine it... (PS - I'd also welcome a war dec from Goonfleet. I know those who don't agree with what I say LOVE to call me an alt, but I think you'll find I'm really rather active in game...) C'mon - enough of the F-U, more of the Pew Pew!! But then again BoB is by far the most stupid alliance here. An alliance that had everything (most easily acquired due to legacy from playing for longer than most) and lost it all because of ego and incapacity to keep their mouths shut. THAT, sir, is stupidity at its best. So in the face of their arrogance AND stupidity I really hope they go and be forgotten soon, as many many other alliances that judged themselves ubber and ended collapsing into nothing. A tackling frigate is invaluable, a T1 ewar cruiser can take a sniper out of the fight, and a well fit battlecruiser can be an effective anti-support platform.
