But the incessant use of noobships and other 'irrelevant' ships simply to create such ridiculous lag that tactics become impossible is ruining what could be some awesome fights. Your allies have more than enough firepower and numbers to win the battle and tbqh your playstyle is hindering rather than helping your cause. I know that I can sometimes be a controvertial figure (due to my attempts to clean up the forums) and at times I, too, have been guilty of getting overheated on what should be a mature, informative and (at times) amusing addition to our experience of this game. But the odd bit of baiting and ridicule on my part is nothing compared to the juvenile postings, personal attacks, threadnoughts, metagaming and deliberate attempts to aggrevate non-RSF players by references to R/L occurences have SURELY got to stop. That's why I'm making this open appeal to Goonfleet leadership to FINALLY take action and be accountable for the actions of their members. This has nothing to do with who is fighting who - I think everyone is loving the pew pew - but it's to do with maturity, respect, and - ultimately - making the game a better place for us all. And that's why I'm making this ultimatum to Gloomswarm. Please, in all sincerity, clean up your act and we can make this game a better place, and this war the greatest clash an MMO has ever seen. And if you're wondering, dear Goon leadership, what's in it for you I'll be blunt. If you don't sort yourselves out I'm going to switch to become a Goon fanboi. Just imagine the horror of seeing Windypops posting on your behalf, day in, day out. Serously. Just imagine it... (PS - I'd also welcome a war dec from Goonfleet. I know those who don't agree with what I say LOVE to call me an alt, but I think you'll find I'm really rather active in game...) C'mon - enough of the F-U, more of the Pew Pew!! Not a bad politepoast, not bad at all.

Why should any goon or coalition pilot have to sit out from the fight? If CCP want a game of large scale warfare then they have to polish up their act and improve the code and interface to handle large scale battles. Seriously, what is lagging the server up? It is passing packets of data of coordinates of ships, objects and the status of health to between the various ships in the battle. Seriously how big a packet are we talking about with 800 ships involved. They have to have a better way of passing information, when I played DAOC we had 800 a side fights that were 3 way and this was what 7 years ago and you could play that game with a dialup connection. EVE is doing nothing that is pushing the limits of our broadband connections or the graphics capabilities, it is just bogged down as the game is poorly coded to handle the volume of traffic. CCP needs to improve the way the data is distributed. You can't ask or expect people to not show up to fleet ops, it will then just become a secnario for the defenders piling in as many people as possible.

Fair enough, shame you wernt reading over 12 months ago when Bob set the trend, although much much worse. The propoganda drivel that Windy****s/marakok et all spout out avoid this most important fact whilst also trying to portray bob as the 'under dogs' - Possibly swaying a few uninformed to side with their nerdrage view. BoB wasn't really worse than the Goons though. In fact, they where a whole lot less sucky than the posts we get from Goons today. It's a testament to the fact that the bar has been raised a whole lot on what is concidered accepted and not that Goon posts today are seen as less bad than BoB posts of the past. I'd disagree with that as well. Bob were always arrogant, but to me it always seemed like a whole lotta RP. I have rarely seen an offensive BoB post. Sure, posts they have made have annoyed me, and I never like chest-beating, something they do a whole lot. Goons, on the other hand, take the game far too seriously and tend to mix in RL in their smack, sometimes getting so offensive it should be cause for direct banning (seems CCP agrees with me here). I won't claim Goon posts are all sucky as in poorly written, as they often tend to be quite funny. This might however be a case of firing enough tacky, offensive and stupid humor at a wall, sprinkled with the rare good stuff, and hope some sticks. Filiolus of Bellum is recruiting
