What IS wrong is that its essentially free to do so! The insurance system atm is so fubahr'd that ISK'wise it is close to free to do so. While I don't like goons (at all), in this case they're just using a hole in game mechanics left wide open by CCP for a long time. I actually applaud it since the more this hole gets used, the more likely it is that CCP will do something about it. A Goon who manufactures Hulks posted a challenge to Goons (with a reward) to kill as many Hulks as possible in the specific regions where he sells his ships. Hey, I'm all for nuking a Macro of any type. I've dropped a few smarties on some Mack's myself in the past whom I thought were using Macro's. The fact remains, you don't know if someone is using a Macro or not, unless your actually looking over their shoulder. I know many peeps that have 2, 3, or even 4 accounts and they AFK mine while doing other stuff with the other chars they have logged on. Every 30 minutes or so, they rinse and repeat the cycle of mining. Some might mistake that as a Macro (I did in the past), but they are infact not using a Macro at all. A few of my friends that sit at computers all day at work actually run miners. Why not make a few ISK while at work? The problem is these Goon cowards are not targetting Macro miners, anything that is easy is what they are going after. There is no skill in what they are doing, any noob with 3 months game time could pull this off easily. Sad part is CCP will only step in when it hits their bottom line in sales...

I also seen someone post a while back that the insurance payout on a Hulk is extremely low compared to its actual cost. I cannot fly one, so I cannot say for certain.

It also tells me one other thing. No one will ever win the zero sec war. The majority of eve loses either way as both sides are controled by the biggest bastards the game has.

I keep in mind two things. I only pay 15 dollars a month and i deal in things far more important than this. Yes like most I like being good at the games i play. But trust me i dont take this anywhere near as seriously as others do. Oh and for the record. If i choose to i can and do curse like a drunken sailor. Bastard is weak for what i typically throw around on other forums. I tone down the language for eve and other moderated forums. Like i said before its just another day eve.

One day I saw that Module X was selling for much less than I deemed it's value to be. So I bought every under-priced one up within 3 regions, and listed them all for triple their old price. Every so often someone tries to undercut me, so I just buy out their stock and sell it for my price instead. True Story.

However, I really doubt it's going to matter all that much for his bottom line, since the way invention works means the more the price tends to go up, the more inventors are likely to pick up on it, and the end-price remains roughly the same, with only a minimal increase. 1\|2\|3\|4\|5.

A smart businessman wouldn't just be selling Hulks but also the kits the suicide pilots use, at a modest profit.

The game mechanics allow for attacks in so-called "secure space", but the defences dont scale very well. A few ships blown up here and there serve to remind everyone that EVE is not a safe place. Once a trend develops however, there is nothing stopping a larger group of players doing whatever they want... even in empire space. These are the facts: Shooting at someone makes you a pirate - this was established early in EVE history Wanting to be left alone makes you a carebear - if you dont like it, start shooting Most players are both carebear and pirate - everyone is involved in making the tools of warfare, don't deny it. No player can proove that any other player is cheating, that is up to the referee to decide The interesting bit is not one of outrage directed at the re-inventor of ganking stuff. It is a question of adressing the needs of many versus the desires of a few. Is it fair to allow ganking, and if so, what penalties should apply? It has been suggested that insurance is voided for people who get blown up by CONCORD. Some have even gone as far as call for an all out deactivation of weapon-modules in 0.5 - 1.0 systems. Some backstory, and history Some years ago some people got together and decided to exploit a weakness in CONCORD defences. While not technically an exploit, they were able to sit unopposed in Yulai (the #1 hub back then) and blow up hundreds of ships and pods. The point is, that players had been doing it a while before Zombie Inc. decided to "go for broke", but once taken to the next level, it became a problem - in terms of where the game was heading. (A sidenote. As I recall, seven players were banned because they refused to obay the GM who told them to "stop it".) Now, back to present time... My point is that even though the game allows you to do something, doesn't mean you should get all your friends and go do it. And finally, some bile! (You can skip this part if you want) What remains hidden is the motive of the current purpetrator. I cannot help but notice that this latest GS-stunt, has coincided with the "report" feature finally starting to work. GS posters are learning the hard way that these forums also have rules, and they are so paranoid about it that they think it's BoB doing all the reporting. For the record, I have reported posts, and I know others have. It seems even shudder non-BoB players think there's a limit to what should be allowed to pass as a "post". Perhaps many GS members feel the rest of us "don't get them", and they have decided to show us empire-dwelling plebs how to play EVE. But please GS. Suiciding is so 2003, and references to twisted real-world religius nutters are so 2001. We all play EVE and pay for it... ONCE. You all get to pay twice. Once to CCP, and once to SA forums... Maybe it's all you elitist, doublefee-paying and anti-social newbies that "don't get" EVE? Or maybe you all run on game time codes I dont know
