Currently the 'Static Data Export' is a manual process. We are currently rebuilding it to be an automated process. We have also changed some of the structures in our latest db update and need to format these changes into a manual/documentation so that you can update your applications or write a converter that takes the new structure (which is for better content control) and represents it in the old manner so as not to break your applications.
Stay tuned.

Please tell me your not changing the format of the exports ? As in the SQL Scripts? Are you just changing the method by which the scripts are created ?
I wrote a parser and updater for the last update where I just have to point it at the directory containing the scripts and it updates my SQL database. Thought this was going to save me time in the future.

Thanks for the feedback, however my guess is that most advanced methods using libraries already have adaptation layers in place (I know that at least mine does ;). For those it would be much more interesting getting the new data and structures earlier than getting info about how to convert it back into the old structure...

A new database, including reprocess-values for, say...Gleaming Alloy and such, would be much appreciated! :)

No, it sounds like some of the table structure might have changed. We will need to wait and see what it is.

While others using the EVE DB extract may differ. I would prefer to have the eve extract in the layout that CCP uses rather than a secondary format. The community developers are quite skilled at changing the layout should they need to.
It would also be nice to have a list of changes between the two, but it is not required.
ps: I'd also prefer if you didn't put true/false into integer fields.

Honestly, what I'd rather see, is the static data export made available via the API. It should even be possibly to work things out so that the deltas from one version of a given table to another version of the table could be had. File format could be XML, the old export format, or a new export format. (And I assume that by format, we mean there have been schema changes.)

Me also awaits a new export. Or an open db, that would be cool too, being allways up to date ect...

Perhaps I'm missing something.
I know we're all anxious to see the 1.1 data updates, but where's the promised documentation for the earlier version(s) of this database?
I can read and learn, but trying to piece together bits from forum threads and lousy search engines is a bit much. :)

Please. Thank you.

To clarify.
Yes there have been schema changes to the tables. We changed the way that we versioned static content (actually we added the ability to version static content so that inhouse testing changes are not moved out to the public test servers or onto TQ until they are actually tested and approved. There was also some other changes but I don't know the full details.
When I know more about dates I will let you know, but I suspect it is more likely to be released with the next patch.

(BUMP) In the meantime, you can:
UPDATE `mapRegions` SET `regionName` = 'Outer Passage' WHERE `mapRegions`.`regionID` =10000021 LIMIT 1 ; UPDATE `mapRegions` SET `regionName` = 'Etherium Reach' WHERE `mapRegions`.`regionID` =10000027 LIMIT 1 ; UPDATE `mapRegions` SET `regionName` = 'Kalevala Expanse' WHERE `mapRegions`.`regionID` =10000034 LIMIT 1 ; UPDATE `mapRegions` SET `regionName` = 'Oasa' WHERE `mapRegions`.`regionID` =10000040 LIMIT 1 ; UPDATE `mapRegions` SET `regionName` = 'Cobalt Edge' WHERE `mapRegions`.`regionID` =10000053 LIMIT 1 ; UPDATE `mapRegions` SET `regionName` = 'Malpais' WHERE `mapRegions`.`regionID` =10000013 LIMIT 1 ; UPDATE `mapRegions` SET `regionName` = 'Perrigen Falls' WHERE `mapRegions`.`regionID` =10000066 LIMIT 1 ; UPDATE `mapRegions` SET `regionName` = 'The Spire' WHERE `mapRegions`.`regionID` =10000018 LIMIT 1 ;
Ofcourse for the shipchanges we will need the new db dump.

I thought I would ask here to see if anyone would know; I've been messing with the trinity 1.0 datadump, and don't see how I can check skill requirements for modules/ships. If anyone can direct me to the proper tables I would appreciate.
back on topic. 1.2 was released live today. any idea when we might expect an update on the situation?
