But yeah, Darko in his yoghurt-eating days, Buddrow, Korr E'Hahnah, Woody, Darkness, etc... are (were) all gifted FC's. Xazier on the other hand usually got himself killed, which definately earns him an award on the comedy side of FC'ing .

1. Scabsss isnt a bad fc... he is a legion of honor guy.. he knows his stuff...
2. My ceo is pretty good....
3. Any BoB fc... they obviously know what they are doing...

1. Etheris from eXceed Inc. The guy is funny as hell and keeps everyone's attention for a long ass time. We can go on a 3 hour roam and still be on our toes on our way back. He's got guts and he's decisive working even when working off of very limitted information. He gives the right commands at exactly the right time to keep us all from getting smoked. He's got small fast gang tactics down to an art form.
2. Killmore from DOA in Terra Incognita: This guy is an Eve encyclopedia. He knows the smallest minutia about everything there is to know about the game. His efficiency rating as an FC is consistently 90%+, at least when I was in DOA. The only reason I don't rate him as number 1 is his addiction to cloaked gatecamps, which is usually pretty boring.

I shall be biased and list only FC's from my own institution. This is down to the following reason, i positively belive without a sense of doubt in my mind that they are the finest 3 FC's this game has to offer. Your welcome to disagree but the results are self evident in most of the major conflicts this game has ever seen.
Molle (#1 In eve by far at any level, the power of his voice to calm and inspire the troops around him alone separate him from 98% of the competition, this tactical ability put him in a class of his own when dealing with capital warfair.)
Cliest (Give this guy a roaming fleet and he will teach you the meaning of sparta, no fleet to big to wipe out, no force too small to engage with and ofc get the victory regardless)
TWD (What can i say, When theirs a real problem that needs dealing with and our backs are against the wall we play the TWD card and he never lets us down. Mr Titan kill. No bull****. No frills. No mercy. This is TWD. |

Meh'Lindi - Currently Starlight Industries I think This guy was the first FC i ever flew with as was my first PvP teacher per say. Pure stand up guy filled with tons of yarr!
Varalonia - Darkite - IRON Mellow guy but knows exactly what his fleet can and cant do in a small amount of time. I dont think I ever lost a ship to him but my memory is famously bad.
Malachon - Exceed - IXC Reason why I joined exceed. My first very large fleet FC. Intelligent and precise. Definately one to trust, though I wish he would FC again as he seems to have taken a break. 
Gobbins - Exceed - IXC Deadly though a tad emo at times when things go funny. I trust this mans brain more than most I ever flew with. I sometimes have been known to leave work early just to get home in time to join his fleets.
Tessa Yor - Vanguard Frontiers - IRON The most soft spoken fun loving FC I ever flew with. This lady is an inspiration. God loves a woman that loves to kill. 0/ Tessa! (Told you ages ago I thought you were awesome!)

The goat loving Wetrain is very good, lots of high intensity responses to pilots who make mistakes, (which for me is amusing, even if I'm the idiot) but professional and deadly.
Wetrain's versitility is what I particularly like, with his ability to manage a large fleet,as well as smaller roaming gangs

Zangief Suikoi. Best damn late night and drunken overnight gangs. The only guy I'll log in for, right after down time, no matter how tired or wasted I am. Not to mention the only single player I've seen able to make entire alliances log off if they see him in local.

The final has to be a toss up between Mindlles and Numberguy. Can't understand either one if they're drunk and it's goddamn hilarious.
Honorable mentions should go out to Manfred Sideous, Boldyn, Koboldew and some select FCs in my own corp. You know who you are.

That's a great list, but my favorite old school FIX list would have to be:
1) Boldyn (STFU in local!)
2) Marko Debreault (never ever lost his cool)
3) Wraithstorm (Always fun...do the yoda impression! do the yoda impression!)
and I would put Adam and Mindless at 4 and 5 on that list if it were that big of a list.
I'm still getting to know the FC's in wreck/un-natural selection, so none of them make my all-time favorites list, but so far I have seen several really good FC's.

Suas - Great FC, can get logistics done like very few people, and can raise morale like nobody else.
Joshua Cane - Arguably more suicidal than goons, but always great to work with, and he never survives longer than the first 30 seconds in a fight against BoB so he must be doing something right.
Cleisthenes/TWD - Just going to post both, I've never flown with them (unless TS recordings count  ), but from the other side they've both kicked my ass too many times when I should have had the advantage.

I shall be biased and list only FC's from my own institution. This is down to the following reason, i positively belive without a sense of doubt in my mind that they are the finest 3 FC's this game has to offer. Your welcome to disagree but the results are self evident in most of the major conflicts this game has ever seen.
Some Dutch guy (#1 In eve by far at any level, the power of his voice to calm and inspire the troops around him alone separate him from 98% of the competition, this tactical ability put him in a class of his own when dealing with capital warfair.)
Peoke (Give this guy a roaming fleet and he will teach you the meaning of sparta, no fleet to big to wipe out, no force too small to engage with and ofc get the victory regardless)
Ginger Magician (What can i say, When theirs a real problem that needs dealing with and our backs are against the wall we play the Ginger Magician card and he never lets us down. Mr Titan kill. No bull****. No frills. No mercy. This is Ginger Magician.

OMG, xirtam was never good, even at CAs peak, all he ever shouted was 'safespot fellas, safespot'. or he'd be shouting 'im being hit, im being hit,' or ' I GOT A WRECKING WHOORHOO'. Don't get me wrong its always a fun fight when hes in lead, but hes just pants at it.
Oh and LightDarkness? everyone of his fleets was a giant disorganised random blob. Maybe that was the quality of his pilots not his command *shrug*.

Chowdown - Everyones been in one of his fleets at some point and knows why.

1. Wraithstorm - One of best Fc's i have ever flown under. A person who knows now to get the job done, and have fun at the same time. Something many people just can't do.
2. Zangief Suikoi - When you have to play on a alt char so that people wont log off and/or dock up when you are called in a intel channel. Your doing something right. (late night runs FTW)
3. Freelanc3r - When something just has to be done, he can get it done.

2. ET - -A- have always been able to get what they need done.

Cartiff is a great FC though you are 99% likely to lose your ship in the process.
Aberash is a very good leader in our gangs and he is may be found easily and quickly at the top of your overview.
So, again, if you see our gang your primary target should be Aberash, thatÆs A B E R A S H. Remember this name.

My fave's are:
Shamis for anything, you will be surprised that he can lead 200+ man goon gangs just as ruthlessly effective as his token 30 man ones.
Shadoo for capital killing and morale, stays level-headed and will get u a cap kill no matter what the situation, fantastic at dealing with changing situations
Narciss for small on field fleet fights, you want this guy on your side, he thinkss fast, commands respect and rarely loses a fight
TheAdj/Ernest, great northern FCs when they come down and help pl or goons or someone, ernest keeps the situation under control and theadj will find fun no matter what is happening
SUAS, dare-i-say-it, he commands immediate respect and if one person can shut the goons up, it sure is him

Its becoming a bit of an ass licking thread, lol. But to be fair to BOB, love them or hate them, if you are a person who likes to FC and lead gangs then you can learn one hell of a lot from being in their fleets. If it wasn't for the FC's they have, they would probably not have any space left now.
Special mention to RA as well, i never knew at the time who was in charge ( i do recognise that Joshua Kane name a lot from Feythabolis, so might have been him ) but they always seemed to punch above their weight.

Narciss also has the benefit of being roughly 60% as tall as the average player, so he is incredibly hard for the other side to hit during a fight.

Light Darkness, alwasy good for some killin.

Bored at work again, so with my rather limited experience / bad memory...
Molle, yaay, Cleist (roaming)
even though I took only part in 3-4 Bob/MC ops in Catch before STK turned to the 'darkside', those were very very nice, and I loved it when Molle said: yes there will be 15mins of module lag and no we dont wanna hear about it (700+ total in system and ofc I crashed after 5mins)

by far best FC we had in the MPIRE/FATAL combo, also someone who understands that it's very good if an FC has his own covop alt

Yes possibly, but still the ppl i've mentioned (including you) are some of the best i've experienced ingame..

I'll mention one that hasn't cropped up the last year or more - and I only had the opportunity tho fly under her command in 2 significant battles: BabyCow. I honestly don't know where she is now, but she was a fc that gave ISSN/U'K fleets 5 cap kills in 9uy

As others have said you can only really talk about the ones you know of personally.
These are in no particular order, they all have common abilities that make them excellent FC's (different styles though)
Angel (cool as ice under pressure, has a habit of saying "please" when giving orders but you know there's a rod of iron behind the "please")
Darknesss (voice never changes in battle, doesnt FC as much as he did being alliance leader but excellent when he does it)
Super Twinkey (To quote Twinkey once "I dont care if we've been roaming for 5 and half hours, that doesnt give you the excuse to act like ******s" after a ship escaped us after an epic "Twinkey Roam")
Wargod (Damn good at FC'ing on roaming gangs, don't fly with him as much now on a day to day basis as I used to as we're in different corps in Tri but still rock solid in a scrape)

1) Drift Spec (important stuff starts with 5 "Checks" as opposed to 2 or even 3 (2 checks means he likes to say something irrelevant, 3 checks means that he wants to report a shuttle situation, 4 means he's dying )
2) Thol (notice how he gets really angry at each and everyone in the gang, also notice how gang drops drastically as everyone ctrl-q's in anticipation of his anger outburst, hoping they can leave the gang just in time so they don't get mentioned personally by one name or another)
3) Smith (notice how he goes quiet when he dies, leaving everyone left to die too, wondering what's going on. I suspect he's out driving around the neighbourhood, carmageddon style)

Thol - My #1 Pick in EVE's Fantasy Draft. I have never lost under his command even being outnumbered by like 150

Shamis - never fought him in Shinra. We always ran into friendly fleet wrecks that ran into Snigg however.
Molle - BOB's Eisenhower except he can command fleets on the field as well.

I will not mention any names, I prefer to elect manoeuvres:
1) Who ever were in command of the TRI fleet during the 2nd assault on X-R3 system. The flip on the entire fleet composition from sniping BS to nano Hacs in such a short period of time was a dam good movement that made TRI win the gate without a single shot.
2) Who ever planned the BOB + friends fleet positioning during the assault on the "Titan POS" in witch the D2 + Friends conventional fleet was stuck and totally incapable of giving any support to the main attack force and following disaster in witch the fleet was completely surrounded and destroyed.

That wasn't FCing that was lag doing the work as 90% of the people never loaded grid. Support fleet was told not to even go into the system under any circumstances as that node was already unstable from 50 carriers with fighters out. |

#1 Chowdown - More fun in a fleet fight than anyone I know. Oh... and he is my favorite Eve dictator.
#2 Traffic - only guy I ever knew who could truly scout and command at the same time.
#3 Lallante - Eve event of the north award - kept the event titan from dieing... :)

Melaki, wasn't he the one we called Titan on and he had his fleet warp out on shear speculation in tremendous lag 30 seconds after the call? And wasn't Shrike in clear sight minutes before the fight according to an MM scout.
Xirtam was definitely one of the more fun FC's to fly with, u know, if you really didn't like your ship. As for best though, well |

well, concerning huge fleet ops, the only remarkable fc i have seen was sister bliss, he was always calm, keeping morale high, even in fights where two hours super lagg happened and although we were always outnumbered. besides this stk guy is right, sb did a good job with his covops alt, and is great at guerilla warfare. never heard him screaming in ts, very nice guy.
guess there are some more excellent fc's, but i dont know those well enough to evaluate them.

Since joining goons late last year I must say I've been very impressed with their FCs. Of course I was in Hydra before... so v0v.
The top 3 that stand out most so far have been:
1) Daveydweeb,
2) Dannie Trejo,
and last but not least 3) Josiah Conqueror
These 3 are unquestionably the finest goonswarm has to offer. Any goon that says otherwise is just trolling you. F U goon trolls.

And me, for no good reason I can think of other than it makes me feel good about myself.
Also, I haven't actually been in a fleet battle for a very long time, so forgive me if I'm out of date on which FCs are in fashion currently, small gang/solo ftw :>

You make the worst argument i have ever seen, you killed me, but then i killed something bigger of yours, therefore you are the worst fc ever. plus a lot of very good alliances did not fair so well in the tourney, its a difficult thing to get right, and credit to those who put a lot of effort into getting it right.
I have flown with gerku loads, and he does a fine job, lots of fun and always looking to improve himself and the people he is fighting with when things go wrong. This does not make him the best, but you have to be pretty arrogant to say it makes him the worst.

1. Evil Synns is the best FC in EVE. For a couple of reasons.
a) He wins.
b) He is funny whilst winning.
c) He doesn't spit out the dummy ala [Angel] and [Frank].
d) He drinks like a fish [and still wins, whilst being ****hhed].
2. Zen Horizon
a) Tends to win quite a bit and does it in a way which is isn't ego orientated.
b) He wears sandles and listens to John Denver tracks quite a bit.

Dol Amroth - Cool as cucumber I miss flying with Dol.
Righteous Fury - The complete opposite of Dol, ts silence was never an issue due to the risk
of RF letting rip a volley of abuse at you, great FC though and also the funniest.

Our main alliance commander dacovale is AMAZING at commanding the fleet.. in fact its well known that if hes is primary by our enemies then we are pretty much screwed if hes killed , as we have no back ups. its almost like chopping off the snakes head. hes also partial to faction mods.
If this gets out though it will change the course of the war so keep it quiet.

1. Stan - xATUK - Your worth it if you still play!:), the only fc ive listened to that thinks the way i do :D
2. Chowdown - One of the hardest people ive ever had to fight out of everyone in eve tbh
3. Boldyn/Marko - These 2 are smart and CAN be very quick to react when there focused - again hard to fight against.
There are so many others but if the limit is 3 id say those are the hardest I have ever fought against and some the pleasure with.

The argument i make is very simple, allot of people in eve do not really fight they make to big blobs and sling them at each other and pray for gg and module lag to the enemy.
For someone like stan (being old school, and not so sexy in his age by now) he would (from what i remember) take a big blob in and say X > jam xyz > player2 shoot enemy blah... assign each ship something to do etc kinda personal fcing than a 'everyone does ABC' robot fleets of today.
Also they are not hard always because they are smart with there fleet, they are hard to beat because they can bring it day after day after day and know how to fight... most people in eve make 2 big blips and think hmmm what do we do now, jump in go waa we died, and say 'same time next month?!' rather than consistent fighting:)
