Greetings to the citizens of eve from the Phoenix Alliance. Since the slow collapse of the FE began, the Phoenix Alliance have noticed an increase in the growing number pirates slipping across our borders through the tribute region. The inability to pursure these raiders back across the Tribute/Venal border has been mildly frustrating, but our honor has kept us from breaking the treaty signed (and mostly upheld) in good faith by the FE. However, times change, and it is now apparent Forsaken Empire will not be recovering.
This downturn of events has created a potentialy volital power vacume a mere few jumps from the core systems of the Phoenix alliance. We find this situation unacceptable and have decided that action must be taken. Effective immediately, the Phoenix Alliance reserves the right to patrol the regions of Tribute and Vale of the Silent for unlawfull and piratical activity. We hope to work with our allies and other anti-pirate forces in the region so that we may offer Tribute and Vale of the Silent as open access to 0.0 space for all of EVEs citizens in much the same way Pure Blind is today.
Sincerely, The Phoenix Alliance Council.

You are aware that RKK have cleared them systems out and we are currently patroling them. We would welcome PA`s patrols in the region we have liberated from alliance control.
Tribute is open to all to mine and trade in.
RKK will not tolerate piracy in this region.
RKK will not tolerate ANY alliance claiming this FREE region of space.
So to all Corps that would like to explore and live in 0.0 space please feel free to visit the free region of Tribute.
Unless you are CA or friends of CA, then we will gank you on sight.
Bosie.

Please define what the PA believe is 'unlawfull and piratical activity'
As according to your statement I can be in the regions, but I'll be willing to bet you'll shoot me - even if I'm not doing anything 'wrong'. From pervious threads about the PA - and experience - I have noticed that your member corperations are rather trigger happy, so a flat out list would be nice.
The PA dosn't need anymore negative PR. :P

On both occasions we asked for assistance from the PA. On both occasions we were told no.
How convienent it is that you now want to run patrols through a dead sector.
It wouldn't surprise me if I heard how the great PA singlehandedly cleared the area out themselves when in fact lineage 2 is the simple reason the area is now clear.
I am not arrogant enough to believe anything differently.
However, there is no volatile power vaccum at present. There is simply RKK and friends. A further announcement about the opportunities within this area will be forthcoming once they are in place.
The PA are welcome to travel through this space. The PA are welcome to come mine/npc in this space. If the PA want to "run patrols in this space" then you should speak to Galavet, Lion or myself as to whether you are needed in this area.
Finally, there hasn't been a large influx of pirates through Tribute to Venal because there is currently no-one left in the sector except RKK.

Edited by: SweatySack on 22/04/2004 17:44:54 This is a good move by the PA. A lot of new people in the game complain that they can not travel to 0.0 space without joining an alliance of some sort. We have helped RKK and CELES clear this region. They have been there for a few weeks now. PA helping with this will make it even more secure than it is now. I am speaking on behalf of myself and a few other council members of the Fade Union. If PA needs our assitance while patroling these areas we will help on most occasions as we do with RKK. We currently try to keep Pure Blind region clear of pirates. I will speak to rest of council about this asap to see if we can get daily patrols of these regions.

Why not kick them while they are down? Its a smart move. Why would you try to take down a strong corp when you could wait a few weeks then attack them when they have busted up legs?

So DB in your post you say
"RKK/CELEST/FU/C0D/NORAD has been attempting to clear this area out"
Then later you say
"when in fact lineage 2 is the simple reason the area is now clear"
"It wouldn't surprise me if I heard how the great PA singlehandedly cleared the area out themselves"
This you will not be hearing as we had a NAP with the FE and it was not Broken at anytime.
"On both occasions we asked for assistance from the PA. On both occasions we were told no"
The PA did not come and help no but corps that are friendly to you did such as us. But post like this from you make me wish we had not.

You missed the bit where I mentioned liberating FADE. We fought alongside NORAD and CELEST against the full F-E forces there before their mass exile.
We then worked alongside NORAD/CELEST/FADE UNION and C0D by fighting the remenants of F-E in Tribute.

Its a bit hypocrytical to free a region of space from alliance control, then welcome in another *alliance* to help patrol it....
You claim to have liberated it for the use of all... except CA cos we're dirty region claiming alliance Ho's. Yet you leave it open to SA and FA, XETIC..... PA..... and other alliances, which also "claim" space?
Congratulations on your aquesition, but please, a little clarity on your mission statement would help all us political types, who might even believe what you say

Check the official response from RKK in my initial post.
Bosie doesn't like PA much, hence he sometimes gets a bit aggravated when they talk rubbish.

Well cant say I didnĘt see this coming, wondered how long it would take eve to realise 5-10 F-E members with some curse allies where holding 2.5 regions but I can only speculate the reason why the brave members of the PA took so long to jump onto an already crowded bandwagon. Can only promise one thing I wont be going quietly . Be seeing you all when I get this sh*tty coursework completed.

It would be nice to have a clearer understanding of the entire issue - particularly as to the exact state of FE (and the parts it broke up into).
Could be a busy area for a while.

Originally by: Mr Nice Are you claiming the region(s) then? Or are they just being patrolled?
No, we don't claim regions.
We were in an alliance twice and ended up getting backstabbed both times.
We decided that we would just work with friends who had similar goals to our own.
The truth of the matter is that F-E are still in the area up until like a day ago. We were going to hold off until the weekend to see what happened and then decide what to do next.
The plan was to open the area to a new GOOD regional alliance who had the capabilities to come in and hold the area.
As with FADE, DEKLAIN and PURE BLIND, the area would then remain a RKK protectorate. We would help as much as possible, working alongside the forces in the area, to keep the area problem free.
We don't claim to be uber pirate hunters. We don't claim to be uber pvp'ers. We don't claim to be uber mercenaries.
We just play a pvp corp because it sure beats mining.
