There are some ideas that come up a lot. I mean a lot. Ideas with regards to local, mining ship classes, Minmatars getting Afros and the like.
Rather than having them keep popping up in little threads, they will now be consolidated and linked to this thread. This will not only make it easier on the forums, but also easier for everyone to look through. However, this is for common topic links. If you know it's a common idea, but don't see an active thread - make one and link it!
One word of caution though. Any of the threads in here will be watched. Please keep the comments constructive. If you see a post that isn't, please e-mail us at [email protected]

Is CCP taking any of these into consideration? I would love to be able to set a skill to start training at work, and when I get home, be able to use that skill (or wait for it to be done then use it).
perhaps we should have a player-wide vote?

How about the various requests for Remote Access to an account.
Like PDA / Cell Phone / Website skill changing. Or checking mail from outside the game. That's another common suggestion. ---

Hello, I am new to EVE. I noticed in my first few days of play all of the warnings around for ISK scams. I thought they were just that, but if you really wanted to get rid of this problem I have a suggestion. I am sure I am not the first to come up with this, but why not have an EVE Store on the website where players can go and buy ISK with money from their credit card or something just like buying online time. The availability, and garauntee of legitimate ISK would be very appealling, knocking out the scammers, and it would bring in even more revenue for the EVE project. Hope this has been helpful in at least some way. Thanks for your time.

Dunno if these ideas are new or not, but here is my list:
- A container that can explode when somebody (category selectable) takes from it; - Mines (the bombs) that can be dropped that only trigger to certain commands (like drones); - Locking jammers (the game has these?) that prevent locking or make weapons lock take longer or randomly create the need for re-locking; - Shuttles that cloak (expensive?); - A Q-ship like hull, which means a ship that appears the same as an 'innocent' class of hull but suddenly appears to be a wolf; - A mother ship that carries other ships (we have these?); - It would be so cool if salvaging would produce parts of ships that could be assembled to make a new ship, even a new design perhaps. I always wondered why this is not possible, how difficult would that be to make in EVE?

Interface Improvement : A ship command / click / keystroke that would engage warpdrive in any direction and continue until the player uses standard stop click / key stroke. Provides a useful way to point your ship in some random direction and fly off into space for a bit... setting safespots, scan points, etc. |

I constantly found threads regarding making ships more unique through skins colors etc but never saw one that explained a feasible way of doing this without causing to many issues. So i made a thread hereA Feasible Ship Creator that describes a feasible and simpler way of doing this while solving all the mjor issues or atleast reducing them. Also hoping for other individuals input.
Anyways if you could add it to your list that'd be great. Thanks.

All this stuff and no mention of JITA or does that have a complete section all to its self.
Tonight had to go through there for a mission and over an hour later cant log in. This cant be what I pay my money for why oh why cant ccp just put a system up with no stations in it to bypass that hell hole. Usually I try to avoid this place at weekends as for some reason 700 - 1000 people what to sit in there, god only knows why they do but they do.
Come on CCP sort it out for us people who just want to pass through TA

Someone propably already covered this but since I began playing EVE three years ago I've been missing an 'outbox/sent messages' overview in the mail system. Not having to copy paste all the stuff you sent (and believe me it can add up to alot of messages when being an active CEO etc) would really be helpful.

I agree with the salvage drones and tractor drones, and a few others, cant each suggested idea linked here a voting poll attached so we just click yes great idea or no what are you thinking. then its easier for game developers to see whats in demand to satisfy the guys paying their wages.

sweet...player created ship-skins! >fun >time burner wen waiting 4 next skill >possible lag problems, but not "too" hard to work around it >around 50% of the players on EVE would like this/enjoy it. you don't have to actually make it 100% player created....could make it more like what SWG has going....a set of predetermined skins...with a predetermined number of colors per skin. >possible copy right issues with using ideas too similar...
I'm sure some day....at least a primitive paint program will be implemented....maybe even a advanced version like on Forza Motorsport 2 (Xbox360)

I actually had a two skills based on that idea in mind.
Sabotage (5) Needed skills Hacking V Spaceship command V
10% chance per level of uploading a self-destruct command to the ship of an unauthorized pilot who opens the container.
Advanced Sabotage (10) Needed Skills Sabotage V Infomorph Psychology V
15% chance per level that the command follows the pilot to his/her pod upon ship destruction or pod ejection.
And yes, the game does have locking jammers. Target disruptors slow the tracking speed of turrets and ECMs can break target lock.

Remote market orders and deliveries
Even though something seems to have been done to address lag, and lag in Jita, judging from recent posts, I'd like to submit this suggestion that would allow Jita to continue to be a market hub but eliminate most of the necessity to travel there:
Remote market orders in hi sec
- I'm in system X and I place a sell order in Jita, possibly for goods in system X.
- When someone buys remotely against my sell order, the goods are delivered remotely to the buyer's system.
Possibly the remote delivery could have latency related to the distance. Possibly the purchaser could see where the goods are actually located and travel there to avoid the delivery latency. Possibly the remote order placement and remote delivery might be restricted in some way instead of applying to all orders and purchases. Universe-wide operation would be good, but region-wide would be better than what we have now.
Remote delivery is no more fantastic than several other things in Eve... such as researching BPOs at POS labs from a station... or the magic by which a POS tower powers and provides CPU to its modules.
Such a mechanism should probably not operate across the hi-sec / low-sec / null-sec boundaries. If it did, it would destroy any reason to manufacture or sell in low-sec or null-sec.
My only point is that there might be a way to craft these remote operations in such a way that there are no major unintended consequences while removing the need for so many ppl to travel to Jita, but without destroying the nature of Jita as a market hub.
Note: many ppl have railed against Jita, argued for it to be removed, and proposed alternatives to force market operations away from Jita. Forget it. Jita is not an Eve phenomenon; it is a human phenomenon. Some markets tend to become exclusive of all others. Job ads in a major city tend to concentrate in a single newspaper -- all who seek work look in that paper, while all who want maximum exposure place ads in that paper. eBay is another exclusive marketplace. In real life there are sometimes multiple marketplaces, but that is because geographic, cultural, language and legal barriers prevent consolidation into a single marketplace. Few of those obstacles exist in Eve and would be extremely difficult to create. Jita exists because a Jita must exist. Anything less would be less efficient for sellers and buyers. Make it work by removing the necessity of sellers and buyers to constantly travel to Jita.

Ideas... hm... ideas are a good thing! Here are some of mine then:
1) Walkable ships (I know, the pod, but you can get out of it now, can you) and stations complete with NPCs and stuff. 2) Landing on planets/owning land to produce goods with planetside facilities like farms/factories. 3) Crew system, including trainable crews, morale and crew management (food, water, ect.). 4) New ship classes like: - Heavy industry capships like factory ships. - Yachts (liked that above post). - Passenger liners (a bigger version of the yacht where you can transport people) including new missions (think "sightseeing" time runs). - Exploring ships (fast and heavy with hightech). - Fast freighters/blockade runners (think bulk freigther meets racing frig). - Medical ships (for curing crews in fleet battles). - Specialised Salvage ships.
...aaand finally, I know, very far out, pilotable fighters for carriers!
So much for, my thoughts!

major biggie actually. When training skills on an alt, players should not lose 5-10 minutes waiting for the client to load to go to that character. OR be forced to wait in a que for CCP knows how long trying to log in.

Dear CCP Team.
I got another Issue for you. I want to suggest a whole new warfare area: Mine Warfare
Mines Mines could be deployed by every ship. This Mines will react on the ship signature. The area, on which the mine shall detonate, can be changed by the player, who deployed the mine. Also these mines are cloaked and just can be located by ships, as i explained below.
Ships All ships got a special mine bay. I lso suggest a new shipclass: Minelayer/Sweeper (T2 frigs or cruisers) These ships will get much bonuses for laying/searching mines ( for example minelayer got extra space for mines in bay or minesweeper gots timebonuses on finding and defusing mines.
New modules - Minescanner - Minelayermodule - Minedefuser (Working on the same way as a salvager) Thats my idea. If CCP got an answer, please contact TurboJ, thats my main char.

Please keep topics on this list open. I can only imagine any topic be closed, only if CCP has determined that the issue will be implimented. If so, then they should state this. If a topic is of little interest then it shouldnt be here and is not an "ideah that comes up a lot". Someone could come up with a better idea than what is proposed and posibly spure furthure progress. If the ideah has been rejected by CCP maybe a brief explanation would be usefull. Explanations can be such as not cannon excesive server load excesive reasorce load other game components address this issue the game does do that now keep reading giudes unintelligiable issue. copyright issues player base negativity. current techology limitation.
Some feed back that would encourage more discusion would be allready in production interesting issue here are the obsticles we forsee... (the player base is a vast and powerfull reasorce) check out next patch ;) I like this! will bring it up
This forum is now huge and has gotten to the point were most if not all real issues have been voiced. It might be well served to simply clear out 90% of the forum threads and leave the main issues up with the most comprehensive posts so that clear and focused discusions can continue. |

and the thing I wish for every single day I play Eve: AFK indicator available (but not necessary due to PvP considerations) for my toon picture. As well as any other indicators that maybe requested in the future.

and i guess this would be the place to bring up my idea, too.
change the agent listing so that i can organize it by more than just names.
add in columns for corp, standing, division, system, jumps away from current location, and so forth. seems unbelievably simple to me, but i'm just looking from the view of all the other menus that have that functionality.

Here are some ideas I have been considering while playing Eve;
- Spiky drones that land on your ship, bypassing through your shield that claw and tear your armor.
Sansha ships could ram their spikes into your ship causing armor and structure damage.

Anyway, has there be any thought to having the reprocessed materials/minerals total in the item description? It would help to know what the offered minerals for an item would be if I am reprocessing all the loot I gat from destroyed stuff, instead of having to sell it all. Thanks

I'd like to give a thumbs up to both the salvage and tractor drone suggestions. It would be a huge boon to those who are cleaning up as they go, or for after-the-fact battlefield cleanup with multiple wrecks at +20km distances.
I'd like to see tractor drones too. 20km is just too dang short! The tractor beam itself, being a ship-mounted module, should clearly be more powerful than the tiny drones that can we deploy. A setup like the following would allow tractor drones to be useful, fairly realistic, and not eclipse the existing tractor beam's abilities:
Light Tractor Drone, 20m/s, 5x = 100m/s Medium Tractor Drone, 50m/s, 5x = 250m/s Heavy Tractor Drone, 100m/s, 5x = 500m/s
The effect of multiple drones on a single target would be cumulative. Thus, 5x heavy tractor drones @ 100m/s would bring in a wreck or jetcan at the same speed as a single tractor beam, 500m/s. The skills for the drones could be Tractor Drone I, III, and V respectively.

hello, how should I present myself....I'm 'organikspace' in eve and I have a proposal or just an ideea, and of course a question to ask.... since I like this game verry much, and my brother too ('yuki nai'), we would like to do something more in this game in order to make it more interesting. so, we are painters and were thinking about several "exhibitions" in eve stations....I don't know how many places there are in a station for docking....but there on the background, walls could be fitted with some or just one painting :) so, if this ideea kept you're attention just let me know....we have a lot of paintings and we can select the ones you prefer this is my site....my brother's not ready yet http://www.tomadan.com/ I'll wait for youre response respect and regards dan

"Open Cargo" for wrecks and floating cargo containers should be mapable to a keyboard + click combo similar to the way CTRL-Left Click maps to "Lock Target"

its nice to see that there is a list like this as it means people can access what they want to ask or add their viewpoints into the right suggestion thread.
my advice, now that this has been (re?)stickied is that the list should be pruned to take off things that have been implemented and possibly descriptors for each link, such as I noticed that there was a series of destroyer links and although it was vey funny to read how the links had been hidden, it does not help people if they want to inject a prticular idea or support and idea.

ecm mods/drones/probes that cut ships off from fleet aid. ecm probes with the right skills should even block ships or small groups of ships from fleet aid.
we could even use probes that could cause dead space as to drop ships out of warp to force them to fight away from gates/stations.
fof drones.. to aid turret ships from jamming.
ew missiles that can cause burst effects and jam in the same way ew mods work now but only can be used with a new type of launcher class & maybe can only fire so fast..
you know skills to go with these all of course.. i think they really would be useful.

Bit of a stab in the dark this one but I've been thinking about it so here goes.
How about introducing the Jovians as a playable race, now ofcourse the problem with this is there technology is far superior to the other races. That is why it will be available as a unlockable race when you hit a certain amount of skill points .. alot of skill points. Means the number of Jovian players will be low but will attract more players to stick at the game for a longer term.
This will inturn unlock more content such as ships and maybe a new weapon technology. |

I'd like to see a rig that would allow me to place a medium slot item (e.g. afterburner, etc.) in a high slot. This would be very cool for ships, such as the Typhoon and Raven, which typically do not fill up all high slots with hardpoints. I think this would not unbalance game-play, as players employing this strategy would typically be sacrificing a higher slot choice to get stronger defences or more speed.

I have to agree with CCP t0rfifrans, the single biggest let down in the eve world is the poor/lacking quality of graphical damage, sustained by anything. It seems to me that "eye candy" is what every major MMO, or game for that matter, is shooting for, right? To be able to experience the destruction of a POS as peices breakdown or off, culminating in that simple but total vaporization that we have all grown so accustom to, would make the eve experience something to brag about. Premium graphics?!?
Yea things do look better than they ever have, but come on, we could atleast have a dozen or so packaged damage states uploaded to our CPU's to see the carnage. 
This would even help in those instances that you have to jump in and out of a battle. You could quickly identify that NPC that was taken down to its hull, and start hammering on it some more. Rather than locking on to this and that, trying to find where you left off reducing their chances of repairing the damages.

Before I get flamed I did not read all the suggestions in this thread. However, I do have a suggestion which has always been sort of confusing for me.
When you are in a capital "jump" ship and you look at the star map you can see a bubble which sort of gives you the distance you can jump with your ship. But for systems that are near the border (and most likely the systems you actually want to jump to) it is very hard to tell if the system is within the bubble. It would be much better if the stars that are available to jump to and within range would change color on the star map to help you out more.

Probably somewhere in another post, but three words...Line of Sight.
Adding line of sight would open up a whole new aspect during combat. Think of it, pulling behind that asteroid or piece of space junk (large collide-able objects) to avoid some heavy fire, perhaps to take a breather or just a drink.
It would be interesting to see that strategic maneuvers that may come from a more realistic eve world. Would certain missiles become worth gold, being to guide themselves around the obstruction...I don't know, but anything would be better than a laser hit from the far side of a giant silo, or the mindless "fire when in range" without any consideration for environment.
To me this improvement would go miles to making eve a more attractive game to the casual player than walking around some station...as is currently on the drawing board.

you know.. its great that CCP has this thread for common ideas.. what's not so great is that MOST of the links go to locked threads that we cant comment on, so ppl start another thread on a topic. This forum would be so much easier to lose if ccp would just unlock any thread that makes it to the common ideas list.

Would you add Eve Store suggestions also please. Eve store as very nice items. I have a few......wish i had all. (checks wallet).......But would like to request my Corporation or Allience logo/icon on either hat or coffee/beer/shot class. I'm aware of logistic's and possible cost......I know you all thank of us when it involves cost. :) Have an order page to fit items to buyer. Thanks, just a suggestion.
