It's taken so long to beat the bugs out of all these patches now that speed freaks on TQ no longer seem to be so much of an issue.People learnt how to (or have seemed to from where Im sitting) counter-act speed fits and adapted accordingly.
Just add the Orca to keep the carebears happy and leave TQ as is with a new log in screen..Genius!

Yep - but don't dare to solo in a BS or you die to everything smaller than you that manages to get in short range before you can pop it (which is highly unlikely). As a counter to this CCP Nozh offered several 'solutions' . I will only name the two 'best':

I think adding MWD jamming to warp scrams is a bit too much.
How about adding a new type of warp jammer that has range slightly higher than scramblers (like 10-15km) and MWD jamming but only 1 warp scramble strength?

I really think CCP needs to stop this over inflated nerf on speed. I play the game to have fun, i also play when i have time too. Slowing all ships speeds down, means i now have to sacrafice tanking for speed to finish missions in the same amount time, thus raising the risk.
Big deal if i'm a mission runner, it's what i like to do, and so does 80% of the rest of EVE players.
To me, in real life, time equals money, and i run my life as efficiently as possible to maximise the most out of my time. If it's going to take longer to finish missions, it's going to take more of my real life time, and that is not acceptable!!
Parent's aren't going to like this, because now when/if they let their kids play, the kids are going to want more time to play, which isn't neccessarily bad, but there are obligations to be met before play time and going to bed at night.
Parent's aren't going to want their playing longer, just to finish a mission, one that before only took 10 minutes to do, or now takes 15 or 20 minutes to do.
This whole nerf is absurd!
Just implement speed caps on ships, their structural integrity can only handle so much, even in the dead of space, because of different gravitational forces and such. Speed caps solve the whole problem, easily and efficiently.
Leave the game the way it is, add speed caps, and problem's solved!!!

Seems CCP wants Caldari Blobfares.Speed nerf was needed in small casses where players invested billions (not 100k isk like other people do) in officer fittings and implants.
But seriously,these speed nerfs dont make any sense,first you nerf every ship's speed even the ones that are already slow as a snail,then you nerf webbers (the things that are used against speed if you didnt know CCP) then you buff warp scramblers to stop MWD...
Seriously ,scrap all your speed nerf ideas,rething them for atleast 1 year and come back.
Im not a nano-pilot but im not a blob-fan either.
R.I.P EVE,you are in the hands of SOE II (CCP) ... NGE INC,not enough time to warp out.

Instead of dealing with the true problem and finding a focused solution to it, they automatically take the sledgehammer on left hand and the double axe on the right one (yeah, yeah they manage to do it, and it's proven every years ), put the mess middle of everything, breaking the game mechanics with no respect for their customers that spend a lot of time training specific skills or buy expensive gear. This time is even worse than usual, because instead of killing a class of ship at a time ( like they used to be ) they simply decided to change pretty everything and the way the game is actually played. Yes I'm a nano pilot and yes I was frustrated sometimes not being able to catch some fast flying bees, but you can defeat them ( and not only with nano yourself). This change is too much radical, something needeed to be done, but not the way it currently implemented by CPP devs. It will create too much new problems, unbalancing, unfairness, and to be honest no need to be a game designer to see the implications of such deep and radical changes ( just reading some pages of this thread already show this). And in the end it will be just the rise of something new to replace nanos ( Caldari, Ewar, dunno what) associated to months of testing to tweak back the game at a good level of balancing.

Basically, they moved the speed threshold for speed tanking from over 4000k/s to just over 30/ms for frigates, 150 for cruisers, and about 200m/s for bc.
And they did this by completely ****ing tracking speed and missile explosion radius's.
They completelt lost sight of the goal - and that was to prevent some few people from surpassing a certain speed that made them invulnerable. The answer was simple - get a phisics engine that wasn't built by first graders which can handle a few extra zeros, and then take the next step to give us a way to fight it. perhaps introducing a ship that specializes in shutting down MWDs over a distance, or make bubbles shut down MWDs. anything. there are a plethora of possible solutions.
CCP Nohz nothing and his sidekick zulo****much just had to pick the solution that sucks the most ****.
Neither play this game, or understand that even for non-nano users, eve ships are SLOW AS ****. Why the **** would you want to make them slower across the board unless you just waant to make us all go ****ing insane?!?!?!?!11111eleventyone!11

I don't think this 'rebalance' does make any sense at all. We had the ships with speed like Vaga, Inties and that stuff and we had the counter ships. Wasn't that great? This nerf makes both an end. Btw CCP: Just adding new tactics does not make the game better. If you guys start to overload it, it well get just confusing, nothing more, nothing less.
P.s.: I hope the next Patch is called 'Second Genesis'!

I don't think the speed nerf helps anyone really. From PvPers to mission runners and miners New Eden just got a whole lot slower - my mission running Domi went from an unacceptably(unacceptable to CCP that is) 144 m/s down to 118 m/s and my looting/salvaging megathron(with afterburner) went from 290 m/s to 240 m/s. Just how is this expected to improve gameplay I ask????
Seems like we used an elephant gun to shoot a mouse here and consequently ended up with a mess.

They have already stated in a live dev blog that whiners should stfu, and they are 100% correct with it. Why care about clueless whining maggots? This thread is the outlet for meaningless frustrations.
It's either CCP's way or the highway. They would be insane to prefer player opinion over their own on what is good for the balance of the product. Games don't work that way.
