You have 50 mins left, i live just down the road from the meridian, it's 17:10 BST now which is gmt+1, when i log in to EVE after downtime it's 13:00 in the uk and it displays 12:00 on the EVE clock!

Good grief. I always thought EVE was supposed to attract a higher caliber of gamer. This thread is going some way to disprove this theory. :)

Yeah i reckon CCP should allow the clock to be changed depending on your timezone? :) (Or use gmt as default).. Options, options.. :) -----------------------------------------------

Im frustrated because when I first went to log on this morning I accidently clicked out of the Automatic patch for the game. I cannot find any way to get the patch to apply other then downloading the ENTIRE package again.
Even when I log in again it just tells me incompatable version and give me no choice to allow it to upgrade.
Seems like something that might be easily fixable. Im sure im not the only person that did this by accident. I might be the only person that cannot find how you upgrade manually. But still its frustrating.

Edited by: Lokius Ahgamemnon on 02/09/2008 16:16:30 I know Eve might still be down but this is what is concerning me. When I opened eve it told me I had an incompatible build because I had an optional patch installed then proceeded to ask me to uninstall the optional patch so I agreed. It uninstalled the optional patch and eve restarted. Then when eve got back open it didn't allow me to download the new patch. Just says incompatible build. Doesn't give me the option to download it. It also says my eve client is the most up to date when in fact I never downloaded the damned patch yet to begin with. wtf I'm going to try clearing eve's cache. Explain...

Clearing Eve's cache did not resolve the issue. Re-downloading the Entire Eve Client now.

Why not just wait and download it with the new patch included? Or just wait and see if it updates itself when you next log in? Or you know, be patient?

There's nothing to explain. The patch is not meant to be officially installed until 17:00 GMT so why get all frustrated and annoyed?

That's not a valid Tranquility patch...probably for Singularity or Multi. nice try tho.

Maybe they should put some kind of notice in the pop up concerning the "incompatible" notice. That way relative newbs who haven't gone through the new build experience wouldn't be so confused. They could just be advised that the new patch is going through an update/test process and that we could all log on when they were finished....
Instead of so many of us having to locate this forum and have to read through all of these posts to know what's going on.
