All ship types will now play the correct engine sound based on their size and class i.e. a cruiser should no longer sound like a frigate.

In other words, if your security status is -3.0499999 then it's currently being rounded to -3.0 for comparison to the threshold, which for a 0.8 system is -3.0. After the deployment of Empyrean Age 1.1 it will rounded to two decimal digits, the result will be -3.05 and you will be shot
There is still a typo - because the numbers are negative, you're actually rounding down, not rounding up. |

Originally by: Nyphur I see that standing hits for killing npc corp members have been removed.
This entry has been corrected, the standings hit is only removed if the killing occurs in 0.0.
Right, that's a good change. One I suggested/bug reported over a year ago, because of people using npc corp alts to scout 0.0 space resulted in some rather trashed standings.
So, as to my previous post in this thread, is there going to be any avenue of recompense/repair for those of us with -6 standings to our own starting NPC corp?
All I'm after is a "Yes, at some point", "No, never", or "We'll look into it". |

Originally by: Malastat The Concord changes make Concord infinitely more powerful than any player or navy force in high sec space.
This is a very sterilizing artificial game mechanic - bad form.
If anything, Concord response should be moderated, with an eventual overwhelming response of force.
the change to concord is huge... we thought we would test it in a 0.5 with a moros in seige on sisi... dread lasted 4 seconds... cap was insta nuked and all those hit points just vanished... waiting for the combat log from the dread pilot. |

Ok I have this question on the whole NPC agression change:
If I have a faction standing below the current systems agression limit; will NPC-faction police agress me? Can faction players agress me?
Example: Char "TestDummie" Caldari faction standing is -4.55, but his security status is +3.23. TestDummie and he enters say New Caldari (1.0). Will he be fired upon by Faction-NPC forces? If yes, does it apply possible Faction-sided players wanting to pop TestDummies hauler?
I'm just tired of trying to figure out the fancy text in the patch notes. |

is there a way to get the patch file before uptime? I don't presume there will be lag or whatsoever, but I have multiple computers to patch, and a download would be great.
if not, bah, I'll wait ^^ |

Originally by: Cpt Branko I find a certain part of the patch notes unclear (and potentially disturbing):
"It is also worthwhile noting that once you have been naughty enough to warrant a security status of below or equal to -5.0, you will be considered an outlaw and whenever you attack someone in a low security system you will become criminally flagged, as long as your target has a security status above -5.0. The table below shows the minimum security standing required to be able to enter a solar system"
Does this mean that agression rules have changed so that: (a) attacking war targets as a outlaw makes you criminally flagged? (b) attacking people who agressed you first makes you criminally flagged? (c) attacking people who stole from you makes you criminally flagged?
Or the notes were just carelessly written?
No You just fail at reading.
It means you become criminally flagged for firing at non outlaws, whereas pirates with sec below -5 can now pewpew as much as they want.
*Sigh*
You fail at reading (and game mechanics too). It quite clearly states that attacking people in low-sec (as a outlaw) gets you criminally flagged when shooting non-outlaws.
Given that currently, as an outlaw, you can also shoot war targets, people who fired on you first and people who stole from you without getting criminally flagged in addition to other outlaws, I'm asking the question wether they just considered the above cases as 'normal' and omitted it from the patch notes, or we have a change of criminal flagging mechanics.

That is nice.. now they only have to make it so that they actually do show the engine trail/fire, whatever it is called... cause half of the time, the raven and other ships don't show it. |

I think its cool that we get patches and its fair theres a longer downtime, but it would be nice if ccp would send an evemail, i personally dont check eve forums daily neither weekly, so i will loose quite a bit of training time because of this and that sucks.
So this is a suggestion to CCP, that they should send an personal evemail to all players telling about extended downtimes. |

Excellent update - nice to see so many minor UI features fixed alongside more fundamental and major changes. (For example Look At pausing until after the explosion is my fave!). I personally see at least 3 fixes to bug reports I've filed, so I'm well chuffed about that too.
When are the next set of graphical updates due? I remember when Trinity was released, there was also talk of a further set of enhancements to fire and particle effects - I'd love to see those, and also please add my vote for the return of Anti-Aliasing features. I've toyed with the Catalyst Control Centre to try and force AA on, but never found the right settings to balance looks vs. speed.
Thanks again, JJ |

There have been info about it on "character select" screen for some days. Why should they put spam into my inbox, when I can see it whenever I log in? |

Those 14 are devs/qa. The client will start the patch when you log in when the server's online for the general masses. |

Can you add your EVE account to Steam, or do you have to purchase it through Steam for it to handle patching etc?
