I couldn't agree with the OP more but what you need to understand is this:

A lot of people who play Eve are of low intelligence, incapable, and lack the emotional substance that would make them successful in the real world. Not all, but a great deal of them. They are frustrated and so make themselves feel better by hurting others. It's a bit like the internet as a whole really; people leave their brains at the door and just spew out the most hateful, reflexive bile they can, just for the sheer thrill of doing it without the repercussions that would accompany such actions IRL. We all experience it to a degree of course, when you make a billion isk, or pull off a scam, act as a spy or blast someone's hard earned ship and pod them, you're getting a thrill out of something that you don't do in real life.

But it's these desperate ones who are the most offensive - the ones who toss terms like jew, f****t and gay around, because the only way to make them feel better about themselves is by segregating and belittling others. They were probably the same at school and just never grew up. These people are generally cowards too - notice that there is a lack of the use of the word "n****r". It's too much of a taboo these days; the soft targets now are homosexuals and people of other religions.

If you are going to get upset about how offensive these terms are then (a) you've let the silly little troll win, because he got the cheap attention-seeking reaction he so craved and (b) you shouldn't play Eve, because it is rife with this and CCP does nothing to discourage it. One thing that's been bothering me for some time is the casual use of the word jew in Eve to mean trader/industrialist. It's very widespread and it's derogatory.
