I dearly hope this is some sort of promotional gimmick.
Personally speaking, if I wanted to pick metal and wetware out of my teeth after dinner, I would eat an implant. What a horrible thing to do to beef!
I am somewhat consoled by the fact that you have not announced any sinister intentions regarding bacon.
I think that might make me cry.

Things have become confused, I think.
The CyberCow project involves the cyborg cows, which will revolutionise industry. I'll see if someone can provide some more technical details on this.
I think Anneka is also opening a restaurant called "The Cows", featuring beef-flavoured food products. Don't quote me on this, because to be quite honest, it's news to me as well. Fortunately, this does not involve cyborg cows.
Also, try not to use sarcasm at Anneka.

This unit has received rumors of a secret area where experiments upon bovines occur. Such bovines eventually evolved to a point where they stood up and drove their masters away with pitchforks and scythes. They referred to it as "The Secret Cow Level", might these bovines be refugees from such as place?

Perhaps this is a response to those who say we kill the animals to eat them. Since now the cow can be culled yet live on in a cybernetic body, the crazy animal rights folks have nothing to be angry about.
So we can have all the steaks and roasts and the cow can go munch on cyber grass and hay now.
An intriguing plan if that is it.

Greetings, pilots. Kathryn has asked me to provide information in a less... Anneka... fashion.
Project CyberCow involves the use of genetically engineered cattle, trained and fitted with spaceship command implants, as pilots for mining barge type vessels. This is far safer than the use of AI, which despite Gallente efforts, many people are still afraid of, regarding the possibility for AI to go rogue.
The natural insticts of cows lend themselves to such tasks.
Their view of asteroid belts is represented to them as a field of grass, with different types and concentrations of minerals appearing as differing lushness and variety of plant. The decision of which asteroids to mine (eat) is left to the Cow.
Upon filling the cargo hold, the Cow's implants make it register that it's udder is full. The Cow will then return to it's base station for what it perceives as milking, emptying the ship's cargo hold.
An alternate use is to have an industrial class vessel register itself to the Cow as being a calf, for an in-space milking. This routine has a few problems that we're still working on, namely the Cow's tendency to attack anything blocking line of sight between it and the "calf".
We're also working on ships to act as guard vessels.
When they are ready for marketing, each package will consist of the Cow, interface electronics, a supply of food products, and an operating manual, giving instructions on how to fit the Cow to your mining barges, and how to care for it.
As for "The Cows" restaurant. I know next to nothing, and to be honest, the less I know, the better I think...

Possibly, I guess they could be trained to respond to ransoms, it's not something we've really been looking at, but I'd think that any potential ransomer would have to be cautious and approach in a friendly manner first, to avoid spooking them and causing a stampede.

Additional, for restaurant.
Pilots of Mixed Metaphor, generally are not invited.
Opinions of valued friend indicate oafishness and profanity from Mixed Metaphor pilots.
CEO Ixiris might be allowed entry, however.

Well, a word of warning: if you start to feel drowsy and everything gets all blurry in the middle of dinner, don't worry, it's probably just a medical anesthetic, probably ketamine. You'll be fine, just... just let her do what she wants. You'll be back on your feet in six hours or so. Though you might have to ice your pelvis a bit.
*Remus stares into the distance for a moment, as if remembering something, then winces*
Er... best of luck, Stitch. *Remus grins and switches off the feed, his expression failing to conceal a trace of concern*

Hmm, I don't know this Sahaquiel, but I'll take your word for it.
That makes a total then of 4 Mixed Metaphor pilots that I know act in an oafish and/or profane manner.

I'll have to admit, I've not cared much to read this tread earlier, but now that I did...
Let's just say it's hard to breath when your rolling around on a hard oak-floor laughting loud enough for everyone in the building to hear you.
Ooyh, Stitcher, did you enjoy your dinner? Was the food okay?

The food was excellent, as was the whisky, music, dancing and especially the company.
The waitresses were somewhat... startling, though. I'd never previously been waited on by girls wearing nothing but a layer of black-and-white cow pattern body paint. Nor, indeed, ever imagined such a thing could happen.
I've picked out somewhere with a slightly more.... conservative dress code for the second date. -

... You just had to say that lik so, didn't you? Do you have any idea how many people will likely run each other over to enter that place once it opens?
They would not give a toss about the food, oh no. They would go to be served by women wearing nothing but black and white body paint...
I'll be sure to give the food a chance though, but I'll likely bring company. Perhaps my sister wants to go...

Ooh, a second date? I take it things went very well then!
Also, the waitresses where dressed only in body paint? Those poor girls must have been friesian!

Well, not that I'm an expert on the subject, but depending on the type of body paint, it can actually get rather uncomfortably warm. A thick coat of rubbery paint can act as quite an efficient insulator, stopping body heat from dissipating into the atmosphere.
Oh, I see! a pun! how amusing! |

You are referring to Liquid Latex... A type of liquid rubber that solidifies when painted onto the body and exposed to air.
If I remember rightly, it's considered a rather risquT type of clubwear that was fashionable in Luminaire a couple of years back. It's maintained a sort of cult popularity though, and tubs of it aren't hard to find if you know where to look. It looks like Miss Tong is a fan...
And I really do apologize for the pun, but someone was going to do it sooner or later. I just thought i'd get it out of the way.

I'm glad that people are enjoying the restaurant. We've introduced some more conservative uniforms for the waitresses, as some customers were a bit uncomfortable.
Everyone is welcome though, to visit at Halle VII station, and we may open some franchises throughout New Eden. (channel The Cows)
As for the CyberCow project, work continues, with some quite promising results.
