Edited by: NupetietVer on 17/10/2008 00:02:16 From a business point of view, buying GTC's with ISK will be up next. No way a company would let players pay for the game with in-game money. Once an alliance is big enough to hold 0.0 space and mine those golden roids/rats, that means free GTCs, i mean ETCs. And as it stands, EVE is the only MMO that allows buying ETCs with in-game money.
Time to standardize the game like any other MMO and rake in the money.
Note: And while yes someone has to buy a GTC in RL, they fact that you can buy a GTC with ISK is something unique. Hence above.

Edited by: Khraunus on 16/10/2008 23:49:58 Nerf autotargeters. It's not fair that someone can target all 5 of my drones with just one button! They should have to zoom out and ctrl-click hoping it lands on one of them.
EDIT: Also, You do know that ETCs are bought with rl cash before they are sold for isk, right? Don't be stupid.

CCP still gets the money for the account, just from another source and they curb the ISK seller issue. Im sure it will be staying for a long time. -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase:

This is what will come in 2 months (then whined about and re-scheduled to 6 months from now):
"ECM-rebalance
Dear EVE-players, We have concluded that the state of ECM currently, in particular to Caldari-recons is unbalanced. After having an almost three hour long discussion in the office we have concluded that ECM in it's current form is not following our original intentions. Jamming something for a period time is not 'feature as intended'. First of all we will change ECM by making each ECM function as a targeted ECM-burst. Meaning, that there will no longer be any timer during which the target is jammed, it will lose it's lock and after that be able to re-lock any target at will again, until jammed again. We have after ten minutes of checking these changes out decided that the activation time needs to be cut somewhat, while at the same time reducing cap-requirements. Now meaning that a T2 Multispectral ECM will have a cycle time of 8 seconds with maximum skills (modifiable of course via support mods) and a 42 units activation cap cost.
This will finally make EVE a game about tactics again, and no longer will we see one Falcon creating imbalance where 2 ships can easily defeat 30.

That would be awesome. ECM would be even MORE effective vs BS and capitals (and anything else that targets slowly)
But tacklers and such wouldn't be quite so royally screwed anymore (nor would anything else with low sensor strength but fast lock time). __________________________________________________________

Thats not a bad idea. Balance that with an Arazu with sensor damps to increase lock time, and ... wow. Nice idea.

Holy crap, I actually like that and I have a Falcon and everything. Admittedly I didn't train it on an alt so I'm doing it wrong but damn, that's a good idea.
The only problem I can think of is that it would obsolete ECCM, unless of course, ECCM was modified to provide resistance to damps, TD's and painters (thereby countering all E-war and not just ECM). Hmmm, I like that idea too. "I got soul but I'm not a soldier" |
